PENGARUH IMBANGAN HIJAUAN DAN KONSENTRAT TERHADAP KUALITAS FISIK BASING KELINCI LOKAL BETINA

Dua puluh empat ekor kelinci lokal betina d i bag:i men;)ad i empa t kelonrpok perlakuan imbangan hijauan dan kc)nsentrat.. Ke1ompok I (PI) 100:0, ke1ompok II {P2)95:15, kelompok III (P3)70:30 dan kelompok IV (P4)55:45. setiap perlakuan masing-masing 6 ekor. Pakan diberikan dengan frekuensi 2 kali/hari. Hijauan yang d.1be.ri.kan berupa kangkung dan konsentrat: berupa BR-1. Vaclabel yang d.iamati meliputi derajat keasaman (pH), susut. rnasak, daya ikat air (DIA), dan keempukan. Masing-rnasing variabel diainbil dari dua jenis otot yaitu Longiss.im.is dorsi (LD) dan Biceps femoris (BF). Data hasil penelitian diuji dengan analisis variansi pola searah. Perbedaan rata-rata perlakuan diuji dengan Duncan's Now Multiple Range Test. Basil analisis statistik rnermnjukkan bahwa perlakuan imbangan hijauan dan konsentrat berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pH, susut rnasak ( cooking loss) dan DIA dagang tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai keempukan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini rnenunjukkan hasi'l terbaik pada pH, susut rnasak dan daya ikat air ditunjukkan pada perlakuan P4. This research was conducted to find out the effect of feed balance between forage and concentrate on meat physical quality of female local rabbit. The samples were 24 female local rabbits of 793,58±48,70g live weight which were grown intensively for 3 months. They were divided into four treatment groups of feed balance between kangkvng and BR-I concentrate. PI, P2, P3, and P4 was given treatment balance of feed namely 100:0, 85:15, 70:30, and 55:45, respectively. Each group consisted of 6 rabbits. The variables observed were pH, cooking loss, water-holding capacity (WHC) and meat tenderness of two types of muscle namely Longissimus dorsi (LD)and Biceps femoris (BF). The obtained data were tested by a one way analysis of variance. The mean differences were tested by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test. The results showed that feed balance had significant differences (P<0,05) on pH, cooking loss and WHC, but did not have any significant effect on meat tenderness. In conclusion, P4 treatment gave better result on pH, cooking loss and WHC than did other treatments.
