PERANCANGAN CHECKING FIXTURE SEBAGAI ALAT INSPEKSI PART DI PT SANOH INDONESIA

PT Sanoh Indonesia adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang pembuatan komponen kendaraan khususnya tube brake. PT Sanoh Indonesia menggunakan checking fixture sebagai alat inspeksi part yang digunakan pada seksi inspeksi setelah pipa melalui mesin bending dan pada saat proses assembly semua komponen menjadi satu. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui pengertian dan cara kerja dari checking fixture, hasil perubahan dari checking fixture, dan mengetahui perbedaan daari hasil perancangan checking fixture baru dengan checking fixture yang lama. Checking fixture adalah alat inspeksi untuk mengukur dimensi part dan bentuk dari tube brake yang diproduksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan yaitu metode computer aided design yang termasuk ke dalam klasifikasi perancangan adaptive design. Metode ini mengubah desain suatu objek yang sudah ada yang disempurnakan kembali. Kesimpulan tugas akhir ini adalah modifikasi checking fixture terletak pada teknik pencekaman base dengan stand, dan kontur dari stand. Desain checking fixture menghasilkan delapan komponen yaitu stand besar, stand kecil, base, bracket lokator, lokator, clamp, spring pins, dan hexagon socket head cap screws. Desain ini dapat memangkas waktu pembuatan checking fixture dan tidak mengandalkan sepenuhnya kepada vendor.

PT Sanoh Indonesia is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of vehicle components, especially tube brakes. PT Sanoh Indonesia uses a checking fixture as a part inspection tool that is used in the inspection section after the pipe passes through the bending machine and during the assembly process all the components become one. The purpose of writing this last project is to find out the understanding and workings of checking fixture, the results of changes from checking fixture, and knowing the difference between the results of designing a new checking fixture with the old checking fixture. Checking fixture is an inspection tool to measure the dimensions of parts and shapes of the tube brakes produced. The method used in the design is a computer aided design method which is included in the classification of adaptive design design. This method changes the design of an existing object that is refined. The conclusion of this thesis is the modification of the checking fixture on the technique of clamping the base with a stand, and the contour of the stand. The checking fixture design produces eight components, namely a large stand, small stand, base, locator bracket, locator, clamp, spring pins, and hexagon socket head cap screws. This design can cut down on the time of making the checking fixture and not rely entirely on the vendor.
