PENGARUH INTENSI KEWIRAUSAHAAN TERHADAP PERILAKU BERWIRAUSAHA PETANI DI WILAYAH PERBATASAN PULAU SEBATIK PROVINSI KALIMANTAN UTARA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) tingkat karakteristik, norma subjektif, kompetensi, intensi, dan perilaku kewirausahaan petani; 2) hubungan karakteristik kewirausahaan petani, norma subjektif, dan kompetensi kewirausahaan petani; 3) pengaruh karakteristik kewirausahaan petani, norma subjektif, dan kompetensi kewirausahaan petani terhadap intensi kewirausahaan petani; dan 4) pengaruh kompetensi dan intensi kewirausahaan petani terhadap perilaku berwirausaha petani di lima kecamatan di wilayah perbatasan pulau Sebatik, kabupaten Nunukan, Provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan gabungan (mixed methods), yaitu metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data deskriptif dengan menggunakan kriteria tiga kotak dan analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan model persamaan struktural. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah petani di lima kecamatan pulau Sebatik yang berjumlah 250 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) karakteristik kewirausahan petani di kecamatan Sebatik Barat, kecamatan Sebatik, dan kecamatan Sebatik Timur tinggi, sementara di kecamatan Sebatik Tengah dan kecamatan Sebatik Utara sedang, dukungan norma subyektif di lima kecamatan pulau Sebatik rendah, kompetensi kewirausahaan petani di lima kecamatan pulau Sebatik tinggi, intensi kewirausahaan petani di lima kecamatan pulau Sebatik tinggi, dan perilaku berwirausaha petani di lima kecamatan pulau Sebatik tinggi; 2) karakteristik kewirausahaan petani dengan norma subyektif memiliki hubungan yang kuat dan positif, sementara hubungan antara kompetensi kewirausahaan petani dengan norma subyektif dan hubungan antara karakteristik kewirausahaan petani dengan kompetensi kewirausahaan petani positif, tetapi memiliki nilai estimasi yang kecil yang menunjukkan lemahnya hubungan antarvariabel; 3) karakteristik kewirausahaan petani, norma subyektif, dan kompetensi kewirausahaan petani memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dan positif terhadap intensi kewirausahaan petani; dan 4) kompetensi kewirausahaan petani memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap perilaku berwirausaha petani dengan nilai estimasi rendah yang menunjukkan lemahnya pengaruh kompetensi kewirausahaan petani terhadap perilaku berwirausaha petani, sementara intensi kewirausahaan petani memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dan positif terhadap perilaku berwirausaha petani.

A farmer entrepreneurial behavior is influnced by the presence of entrepreneurial intentions. Intention has proven to the best predictor for farming entrepreneurial behavior. The aims of this study were to find out 1) the level of characteristics, subjective norms, competency, intention, and farmers entrepreneurial behavior; 2) the relationship of farmers entrepreneurial characteristics, subjective norms, and farmers entrepreneurial competency; 3) the influence of farmers entrepreneurial characteristics, subjective norms, and farmers entrepreneurial competency towards farmers entrepreneurial intentions; and 4) the influence of farmers entrepreneurial competency and farmers entrepreneurial intentions on farmers entrepreneurial behavior in five Sebatik island subdistrict, Nunukan district, North Kalimantan Province. The research method used was a mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative methods. The data analysis used in this study was descriptive data analysis using three-box criteria and inferential analysis using Structural Equation Models (SEM). The sample in the study was farmers in five Sebatik island subdistricts, totaling 250 people. The results showed that 1) farmers entrepreneurial characteristics in West Sebatik, Sebatik, and East Sebatik were high, while in Central Sebatik and North Sebatik were medium, support for subjective norms in Sebatik island was low, farmers entrepreneurial competence was high, farmers entrepreneurial intentions were high, and farmers entrepreneurial behavior was high; 2) the farmers entrepreneurial characteristics with subjective norms have a strong and positive relationship, while the relationship between farmers entrepreneurial competency and subjective norms, and the relationship between farmers entrepreneurial characteristics and farmers entrepreneurial competency were positive, but have a small estimation that indicates weak relationships between variables; 3) farmers entrepreneurial characteristics, subjective norms, and farmers entrepreneurial competency have a strong and positive influence on farmers entrepreneurial intentions; and 4) farmers entrepreneurial competency has a positive influence on farmers entrepreneurial behavior with a low estimated value which showed the weak influence of farmers entrepreneurial competency on farmers entrepreneurial behavior, farmers while entrepreneurial intention has a strong and positive influence on farmers entrepreneurial behavior.
