Cabai merah merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang memiliki permintaan cukup tinggi di Indonesia.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Magelang yang merupakan salah satu daerah pengahasil cabai merah di Jawa Tengah. SOP/GAPcabai merah merupakan salah satu bentuk adopsi teknologi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi cabai merah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat penerapan SOP/GAP di lokasi penelitan dan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan SOP/GAP dan faktor produksi lain terhadap produksi cabai merah serta menganalisis mengenai kelayakan usahatani yang dijalankan oleh para petani. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 orang petani yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik skoring dengan skala likert untuk mengukur tingkat penerapan GAP dan regresi linier berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan SOP/GAP dan faktor produksi lain terhadap hasil produksi dan analisis kelayakan usahatani dengan menghitung Break Event Point (BEP) dan Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) . Dari hasil analisis secara keseluruhan diketahui tingkat penerapan GAP dalam kategori tinggi Untuk faktor yang berpengaruh pada produksi cabai merah adalah luas lahan dan tenaga kerja. Usahatani cabai merah yang dijalankan layak untuk diusahakan akan tetapi sensitif terhadap penurunan harga output.

Red chili is one of the horticultural commodities that has a high demand in Indonesia. This research was conducted in Pakis Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, which is one of the red chili producing areas in Central Java. Red SOP / GAPcabai is a form of technology adoption that aims to increase red chili production The purpose of this study is to determine the level of application of SOP / GAP in research locations and to know the effect of the application of SOP / GAP and other production factors on red chili production and analyze feasibility farms run by farmers. The number of respondents in this study were 60 farmers who were taken by purposive sampling method. This study uses a scoring technique with a Likert scale to measure the level of GAP application and multiple linear regression to determine the effect of the application of SOP / GAP and other production factors on production and feasibility analysis of farming by calculating Break Event Point (BEP) and Revenue Cost Ratio (R / C Ratio). From the results of the overall analysis it is known that the level of application of GAP in the high category For the factors that influence the production of red chili is the area of land and labor. Red chili farming that is run is feasible but it is sensitive to the decline in output prices.
