PENAMBAHAN KEUNTUNGAN DENGAN SUPLEMENTASI PROBIOTIK YESBOSS PADA PAKAN DOMBA LOKAL JANTAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi probiotik Yesboss pada pakan domba lokal jantan terhadap pertambahan bobot badan dan pengaruhnya terhadap penambahan keuntungan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kandang Laboratorium Ternak Potong Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Gadjah Mada, mulai tanggal 17 November 2001 sampai dengan 10 Februari 2002. 12 domba lokal jantan lepas sapih dibagi menjadi dua kelompok berdasarkan berat badan, yaitu kelompok I adalah 6 ekor domba yang disuplementasi probiotik pada pakannya dengan rata-rata berat badan awal 10,21±0,49 dan kelompok II adalah 6 ekor domba yang tidak disuplementasi probiotik pada pakannya dengan rata-rata berat badan awal 11,161-0,39 kg. Probiotik Yesboss diberikan dengan kadar 30 ml dalam 1 kg konsentrat. Pakan diberikan 4 % dari berat badan, berupa rumput gajah dan konsentrat dengan perbandingan 60:40. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan T Student's test dan anggaran parsial. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan T Student's test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata pertambahan bobot badan yang tidak nyata antara perlakuan yaitu pada kelompok I sebesar 7,39±0,44 kg dan kelompok II sebesar 5,92±0,37 kg, sedangkan dari analisis anggaran parsial dihasilkan bahwa suplementasi probiotik pada pakan domba lokal jantan memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap pendapatan atau menimbulkan kerugian sebesar Rp 23.000,01 Kata kunci : (Domba lokal jantan, Probiotik Yesboss, Pertambahan bobot badan, kerugian)

This research was conducted to investigate the supplementation effects of probiotic Yesboss to body weight gain of local male sheep and, additional profit. This research was done since the 17th November 2001 until 10th February 2002. Twelve male local sheep were devided into two groups based on the body weight. The first group consisted of six sheeps which were supplemented by probiotic Yesboss in their feed. The second group also consisted of six sheeps were not supplemented by probiotic in their feed. The average body weight gain of the first and second group were 10,21±0,49 kg and 11,16±0,39 kg respectively. In the 1 kg concentrate there was 30 ml probiotic Yesboss. Level of feed that was given to sheep in term of dry matter was 4 % of body weight. This feed consisted of 60 % Elephant grass and 40 % concentrate. T Student's test and partial budgeting were applied to analyze the data that were collected. The result showed that there was not significantly difference between body weight gain of group one and group two. The supplementation of probiotic to the feed of sheep gave negative effect to the income rather than benefit effect. In this study, farmers got lost Rp 23.000,01.
