ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN TRANSPORTASI MAHASISWA DI UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA

Universitas Gadjah Mada setiap tahunnya mendatangkan ribuan mahasiswa baru. Hal ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap penggunaan moda transportasi dan juga kebutuhan akan moda transportasi menuju kampus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui moda transportasi yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa UGM menuju kampus, mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan moda transportasi oleh mahasiswa, dan mengetahui moda transportasi yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif dan uji korelasi Cramer atau Cramer�s V atau Cramer Contingency Coefficient. Teknik pemilihan sampelnya yaitu area sampling kemudian proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moda transportasi yang digunakan mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada sebagai sarana transportasi menuju kampus mayoritas moda transportasi pribadi (70,5%). Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan moda transportasi yaitu kepemilikan kendaraan pribadi, kepemilikan SIM, uang saku bulanan, tempat tinggal, frekuensi penggunaan moda transportasi, waktu terjadinya pergerakan, jarak tempuh, pergantian moda, waktu tempuh, biaya transportasi, keamanan/keselamatan, ketepatan waktu, dan kecepatan. Moda transportasi yang paling dibutuhkan mahasiswa yaitu sepeda motor (51%) dan transportasi online (33%). Karakteristik transportasi yang paling banyak dibutuhkan mahasiswa yaitu cepat, murah, dan nyaman. Sebanyak 89,4% mahasiswa setuju dan sebanyak 10,6% mahasiswa tidak setuju jika terdapat kendaraan yang disediakan oleh kampus.

Universitas Gadjah Mada brings thousands of new students annually. This greatly affects the use of transportation modes and also the need for modes of transportation to the campus. This study aims to determine the modes of transportation used by UGM students to campus, to know the factors that influence the choice of transportation modes by students, and to know the modes of transportation needed by students. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis and Cramer or Cramer's V or Cramer Contingency Coefficient correlation test. The sample selection technique is the sampling area and then proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The results showed that the transportation modes used by Gadjah Mada University students as a means of transportation to the campus were mostly private transportation modes (70.5%). Factors that influence the choice of modes of transportation are private vehicle ownership, SIM ownership, monthly allowance, residence, frequency of use of transportation modes, time of movement, distance traveled, modal change, travel time, transportation costs, security / safety, timeliness and speed. The modes of transportation most needed by students are motorbikes (51%) and online transportation (33%). The transportation characteristics that are most needed by students are fast, cheap, and comfortable. As many as 89.4% of students agreed and as many as 10.6% of students did not agree if there were vehicles provided by the campus.
