TINJAUAN KEPATUHAN PETUGAS REKAM MEDIS TERHADAP KODE ETIK PROFESI PEREKAM MEDIS DAN INFORMASI KESEHATAN DI RSGM UGM PROF. SOEDOMO

Latar Belakang: Perekam medis dan informasi kesehatan, sebagai profesi yang luhur dan dinaungi oleh organisasi profesi memiliki kode etik yang mengatur cara bersikap dan bertindak demi kemuliaan diri, profesi, dan organisasi. Kepatuhan terhadap kode etik profesi menjadi kewajiban sekaligus tameng bagi perekam medis dari pelanggaran etika, moral, dan hukum saat bekerja. Penampilan RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo sebagai sarana pelayanan kesehatan sekaligus pendidikan dan penelitian, membawa nama universitas di mata masyarakat luas. Namun, penerapan kode etik profesi rekam medis dan informasi kesehatan belum mendapat perhatian. Tujuan: mendeskripsikan dan menilai kepatuhan sikap perekam medis terhadap Kode Etik Profesi Rekam Medis dan Informasi Kesehatan. Metode: jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah petugas rekam medis. Objek penelitian adalah sikap petugas di bagian pendaftaran dan filing. Teknik pengambilan data dengan wawancara dan observasi. Hasil: petugas rekam medis belum mematuhi empat poin dalam kode etik profesi yaitu poin menyimpan dan menjaga rekam medis beserta informasi yang terkandung di dalamnya sesuai ketentuan prosedur, melaporkan penyimpangan kepada Majelis Kehormatan Etik Profesi Rekam Medis dan Informasi Kesehatan, menjalin hubungan dengan organisasi pemerintah dan profesi lain, serta mengikuti perkembangan rekam medis dan informasi kesehatan. Kesimpulan: petugas rekam medis RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo berusaha mematuhi kode etik profesi rekam medis dan informasi kesehatan. Namun, belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kode etik profesi.

Background: Medical recorders and health information, as a noble profession and sheltered by a profession organization has a code of ethics that regulates how to behave and act for the glory of self, profession, and organization. Adherence to the professional code of conduct is an obligation as well as a shield for medical recorders from ethical, moral, and legal violations while working. RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo's performance of as a means of health services as well as education and research, brought the university name in the eyes of the wider community. However, the implementation of the medical record and health information profession ethics code has not received any attention. Objective: To describe and assess the attitude compliance of medical record officers to the medical record profession code of ethics and health information. Method: The type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research subject is a medical record officer. Object research is the attitude of officers in the registration and filing section. Data retrieval techniques with interviews and observations. Result: medical record officers have not obeyed four points in the profession ethics code, namely the point of storing and maintaining medical records and information contained on it according to procedures, reporting irregularities to the Majelis Kehormatan Etik Profesi of Medical Records and Health Information, establishing relationships with government organizations and other professions, and follow the development of medical records and health information. Conclusion: medical record officers of RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo tried to comply the professional code of ethics of medical records and health information. However, it has not fully obey the profession ethics code.
