Uji Stabilitas Fisik dan Aktivitas Antibakteri Formula Gel, Krim dan Lotion Ekstrak Etanol Kulit Buah Manggis (Garcinia Mangostana L.)

Kulit buah manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) memiliki senyawa xanthon yang berkhasiat sebagai antijerawat. Ekstrak kulit manggis dapat diformulasikan dalam bentuk kosmetik agar praktis penggunaanya. Sediaan kosmetik tersebut perlu diuji stabilitasnya untuk memastikan stabilitas sifat fisik dan antibakteri secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan formula gel, krim dan lotion dengan kadar ektrak kulit manggis yang terdapat di dalam sediaan sama yaitu 1,6%. Semua formula diuji cycling test dengan 6 siklus untuk melihat stabilitas fisik, yaitu: organoleptis, homogenitas, daya lekat, daya sebar, pH, dan viskositas serta aktivitas antibakteri sediaan tersebut dengan metode difusi padat sumuran, yang dilakukan pada siklus ke-0 dan siklus ke-6. Parameter daya sebar tertinggi setelah cycling test dihasilkan oleh formula lotion, yaitu 38,37 cm2; parameter daya lekat tertinggi setelah cycling test sebesar 0,40 detik dan viskositas tertinggi setelah cycling test dengan nilai 14630 mPas dihasilkan oleh formula gel, sedangkan pH, organoleptis, dan homogenitas ketiga formula gel, krim, dan lotion stabil. Aktivitas antibakteri berupa nilai zona hambat yang mengalami penurunan terkecil dan tidak berbeda secara signifikan dihasilkan oleh formula gel sebesar 2,05 cm. Pengambilan kesimpulan dilakukan dengan pemberian skor pada tiap formula, dan menghasilkan formula gel dengan skor 25 dipilih sebagai formula yang paling baik.

The mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostana L.) has xanthon compounds are efficacious as anti-acne. Mangosteen rind extract can be formulated in the form of cosmetics in order to practical use. The cosmetic preparations need to be tested to ensure the stability of the physical stability and antibacterial properties in vitro. This study uses a formula gels, creams and lotions with high levels of mangosteen rind extract contained in the same dosage is 1,6%. All formulas are tested cycling test with 6 cycles to see the physical stability, namely: organoleptic, homogeneity, adhesiveness, dispersive power, pH, and viscosity as well as antibacterial activity of such preparations by the method of diffusion solid sinks, conducted in cycle-0 and cycle-6. The parameters of the spread highs after the cycling test generated by the formula lotion, which is 38.37 cm2; The highest bonding strength parameters after the cycling test of 0.40 seconds and the highest viscosity after the cycling test with 14630 mPas value generated by gel formula, while pH, organoleptic and third homogeneity formula gels, creams, and lotions stable. The antibacterial activity such as inhibition zone values that decreased the smallest and did not differ significantly produced by the gel formula of 2.05 cm. Conclusions done by assigning a score to each formula that produces a gel formula with a score of 25 selected as the best formula.
