Analisa Engine Low Power pada Bulldozer Caterpillar D6R XL

Dalam bidang konstruksi, alat berat digunakan untuk memudahkan manusia mengerjakan pekerjaan konstruksi. Namun, penggunaan alat berat yang kurang sesuai dengan kondisi dan situasi di lapangan serta tidak terlaksananya program perawatan yang sesuai standard akan mengakibatkan kerugian akibat perbaikan yang tidak semestinya terjadi. Bulldozer Catepillar D6R merupakan alat berat yang digunakan pada proyek pembangunan bendungan Logung, Kudus. Salah satu unit dengan kode DSU.BU.002, mengalami engine low power yang mengakibatkan kerja unit tidak optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penyebab engine low power pada unit tersebut dengan melakukan pengecekan visual, pengamatan historical maintenance, serta performance test menggunakan CAT Electronic Technician. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab terjadinya kerusakan adalah keausan pada plunger pompa HEUI. Keausan ditunjukkan oleh nilai injection actuation output yang hanya mencapai 3771 psi. Setelah perbaikan, injection actuation output meningkat mencapai 3843 psi. Penyebab utama dari trouble engine low power adalah keausan pada plunger yang terdapat di HEUI pump.

In the world of construction, heavy equipment is being used to make the process easier and more efficient for human being to do the construction work. However, frequently the function of heavy equipment is not appropriate with the conditions and situations in the field. The implementation of maintenance programs that are not reliable with the standards will result in the losses from the maintenance. Catepillar D6R is a bulldozer used in the construction project of Logung Dam, Kudus. The unit with DSU.BU.002 code, experiencing low power engine. This research was conducted to determine the cause of the low power engine by conducting visual checking, historical maintenance observation, and performance test using CAT Electronic Technician. The results showed that the cause of damage was plunger wear on the HEUI pump. The damage is indicated by the injection actuation output value which only reaches 3771 psi. After repairment, the injection actuation output increased to 3843 psi. The root cause of engine low power troubleshoot on Bulldozer D6R is the HEUI pump's plunger was worn out.
