Konsep Diri Pelaku Costume Play

Penelitian ini berfokus pada konsep diri kedua partisipan yang merupakan pelaku costume play. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami konsep diri pelaku costume play dan memaparkan pengalaman yang dialami partisipan secara deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat perubahan konsep diri pada kedua partisipan setelah menekuni cosplay. Persamaan yang ditemukan pada kedua partisipan antara lain proses identifikasi pada karakter, peran keluarga dan teman dalam pembentukan konsep diri, konflik yang timbul dengan orang tua atau teman, serta pengalaman dan pembelajaran positif yang didapatkan melalui cosplay.

This research focuses on self-concept of two cosplayers. The aims of this research are to understand the self-concept of cosplayer and describing their experience of cosplay. This research use qualitative inquiry with case study approach. The result of this research shows that the two participants experiencing changes upon their self-concept after being a cosplayer. The similarities found in the two participants include the identification of characters, the role of family and friends in the formation of self-concept, conflicts that arise with parents or friends, and positive experiences and learning gained through cosplay.
