Manajemen vaksinasi merupakan suatu upaya pencegahan penyakit pada pemeliharaan ayam broiler. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen vaksinasi pada ayam broiler di Teaching Farm Pusat Inovasi Agroteknologi (PIAT) UGM Kalitirto Berbah Sleman Yogyakarta. Pengambilan data diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara kepada kepala farm dan mengikuti kegiatan Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) selama 2 minggu pada tanggal 4-16 Februari 2019. Vaksinasi ayam broiler di Teaching Farm PIAT UGM dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali. Vaksinasi pertama dilakukan di hatchery ketika ayam berumur 1 hari menggunakan vaksin Newcastle Disease (live vaksin) dan Infectious Bronchitis (live vaksin) melalui teknik spray, Newcastle Disease (kill vaksin) dan Infectious Bursal Disease (kill vaksin) secara subkutan. Vaksinasi kedua dilakukan ketika ayam berumur 14 hari menggunakan vaksin Newcastle Disease live (Vaksimune ND Clone) melalui teknik air minum. Prosedur sebelum vaksinasi dilakukan penghentian pemberian kaporit pada air minum 2 hari sebelum vaksinasi dan pemberian kaporit kembali 2 hari setelah vaksinasi. Ayam dipuasakan minum 1-2 jam sebelum vaksinasi. Vaksinasi dilakukan dengan mencampurkan vaksin 5,5 vial (1 vial untuk 1000 dosis) dilarutkan dalam 75 liter air yang telah dicampur 520 gram susu skim dan diberikan untuk 5.200 ekor ayam. Vaksin diberikan dengan menuang campuran vaksin pada tempat minum otomatis (TMO) menggunakkan gayung. Vitamin vitakur diberikan ketika pagi atau sore hari setelah vaksinasi selama 4-5 hari secara air minum. Perlakuan pasca vaksinasi berupa pemberian antibiotik dengan duracox pada ayam umur 21 hari selama 4 hari. Keberhasilan vaksin ditandai dengan tidak muncul kasus Newcastle Disease.

Vaccination management is a disease prevention effort on the maintenance of broiler chickens. This final task aims to determine the management of vaccination on broiler chickens at Teaching Farm Innovation Center Agroteknologi (PIAT) UGM Kalitirto Berbah Sleman Yogyakarta. Data retrieval is obtained by conducting interviews to the head of the farm and attending field work practices for 2 weeks on 4-16 February 2019. Vaccination of broiler chickens at Teaching Farm PIAT UGM is done 2 times. The first vaccination was conducted in hatchery when the 1 day old chicken was using the Newcastle Disease (live vaccin) and Infectious Bronchitis (live vaccin) through spray techniques, Newcastle Disease (kill vaccin) and Infectious bursal disease (kill vaccin) through subcutaneus technique. The second vaccination was done when the 14-day-old chicken used the Newcastle Disease Live vaccine (Vaksimune ND Clone) through drinking water techniques. Procedure before vaccination is carried out of cessation of admission to drinking water 2 days before vaccination and administration of chlorine again 2 days after vaccination. Chickens are satisfied to drink 1-2 hours before vaccination. The vaccination was conducted by mixing 5.5 vial vaccine (1 vial for 1000 dose) dissolved in 75 liters of water that had mixed 520 grams of skim milk and administered for 5,200 chicken tails. The vaccine is administered by taking a mixture of vaccines on an automatic drinking place (TMO) using the style. The Vitamin Vitakur administered when morning or evening after vaccination for 4-5 days of drinking water. Post-vaccination treatment in the form of antibiotics with Duracox in chickens aged 21 days for 4 days. Success of the vaccine is characterized by no emerging Newcastle Disease cases.
