EVALUASI PENERAPAN KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA (K3) DENGAN METODE HIRARC PADA PRODUKSI GULA DI PT. MADU BARU PG MADUKISMO

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan hal penting yang perlu diterapkan bagi perusahaan karena dampak dari kecelakaan kerja tidak hanya merugikan karyawan, tetapi juga perusahaan, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo merupakan salah satu industri penghasil gula pasir berbahan dasar tebu yang memiliki tingkat risiko kecelakaan kerja cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan data kecelakaan kerja, diketahui bahwa dari tahun ke tahun jumlah kecelakaan kerja yang terjadi telah menurun namun belum mencapai nol. Untuk itu diperlukan adanya metode identifikasi potensi bahaya sehingga dapat disusun rekomendasi atau upaya perbaikan untuk mengendalikan risiko kecelakaan kerja di PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengamatan aktivitas kerja yang dilakukan di tiap-tiap stasiun kerja di PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC). Metode HIRARC adalah metode untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya, menilai dan menganalisis risiko, serta menyusun upaya pengendalian risiko terhadap potensi bahaya yang teridentifikasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak teridentifikasi potensi bahaya yang tergolong low risk di seluruh stasiun kerja, teridentifikasi 15 potensi bahaya yang tergolong medium risk, serta terdeteksi 2 potensi bahaya yang tergolong high risk, yaitu di stasiun kerja ketel dan stasiun kerja pemurnian. Upaya rekomendasi pengendalian risiko yang harus segera dilakukan terhadap potensi bahaya yang termasuk kategori high risk di PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo adalah kontrol administratif berupa penertiban penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) pada pekerja dan pemberian safety sign mengenai wajib menggunakan APD di area kerja ketel; serta penggunaan APD berupa safety goggles, safety jacket, dan safety boots. Kontrol administratif berupa pemberian safety sign mengenai bahaya bahan kimia dan penertiban penggunaan APD pada pekerja; serta penggunaan APD berupa safety goggles pada stasiun kerja pemurnian.

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an important thing that needs to be applied to the company due to the impact of workplace accidents are not only detrimental to the employee, but also the company, either directly or indirectly. PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo is one of the industry producer of sugar that made from sugar cane which has a fairly high risk of workplace accidents. Based on work accident data, it is known that from year to year the number of work accidents that have occurred has decreased but has not reached zero accident. For this reason, a method for identifying potential hazards is needed so that recommendations or improvement efforts can be prepared to control the risk of workplace accidents at PT.Madu Baru PG Madukismo. Research carried out by observation of work activities performed at each work station in PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo then analyze it by using the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC). HIRARC method is a method to identify potential hazards, assess and analyze risks, and to develop risk control measures against potential hazards identified. The evaluation results show that there are no identified potential hazards classified as low risk in all work stations, identified 15 potential hazards classified as medium risk, and detected 2 potential hazards classified as high risk, namely at the boiler work station and purification work station. Efforts to recommend risk control that must be immediately carried out against potential hazards which are included in the high risk category at PT. Madu Baru PG Madukismo is an administrative control in the form of controlling the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for workers and the provision of safety sign regarding the obligation to use PPE in the boiler work area; and the use of PPE in the form of safety goggles, safety jackets and safety boots. Administrative control in the form of providing safety signs regarding chemical hazards and controlling the use of PPE on workers; and the use of PPE in the form of safety goggles at purification work stations.
