Penulisan Tugas Akhir yang berjudul Digitalisasi Arsip Foto Lama di Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya Jawa Tengah merupakan hasil Praktik Kerja Lapangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses digitalisasi arsip foto lama. Ruang lingkup permasalahannya, antara lain mengetahui kondisi arsip foto lama, sarana dan prasarana, proses digitalisasi, dan kendala yang ditemui ketika proses digitalisasi arsip foto lama. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga metode. Pertama, observasi-partisipan merupakan pengamatan ke lokasi dan berprtisipasi secara langsung dalam digitalisasi arsip foto lama. Kedua, wawancara bertujuan untuk menanyakan pokok permasalahan dari narasumber untuk melengkapi datadata yang diperlukan. Ketiga, studi pustaka digunakan untuk memperkuat landasan teoritis sesuai dengan topik tugas akhir. Kesimpulan dari Laporan Tugas Akhir ini adalah kondisi arsip foto lama masih tergolong baik dan jelas. Sarana dan prasarana yang digunakan yaitu ruang dan peralatan. Proses digitalisasi arsip foto lama dimulai dari pengecekan, pengurutan arsip foto lama, pembuatan folder, pemindaian dan penyimpanan, pengeditan dan penyimpanan, foto deskripsi dan penyimpanan, penginputan informasi, dan pembuatan daftar berkas baru. Selain itu ada beberapa kendala yang ditemui, antara lain tidak adanya arsiparis, tidak adanya pedoman yang digunakan, terbatasnya bahasa Belanda, kondisi ruang penyimpanan yang sederhana dan sarana prasarana yang seadanya.

Final Report, entitled The Digitizing of The Old Photograph Archives in Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya Jawa Tengah is the result of this field work has the objective to find out the process of digitizing of the old photograph archives. The scope of the problem, among other are related the condition of the old photograph archives, facilities and infrastructures, the digitizing process, and the obstacles faced when process of digitizing of the old photograph archives. The method of data collection is done by using three methods. First, observation, that is a direct observation to the location and participation in digitizing of the old photograph archives. Second, interview which aimed to find out the information directly on the subject matter of the resource person to complete the required data. Third, literature study which aimed to strengthen the theoretical base in accordance with the topic of the final report. The conclusion of this final report is that condition of the old photograph archives is still relatively good and clear. Facilities and infrastructures used are rooms and equipment. The process of digitizing the old photograph archives starts by checking, sorting of the old photograph archives, folder making, scanning and storaging, editing and storaging, description capturing and storaging, information filling, and making a list of new files. In addition, there are several obstacles faced, including the absence of archivists and guidelines, limited Dutch ability, simple conditions of storage room, and minimum facilities and infrastructures used.
