RING SEMUA FUNGSI KONTINU DAN APLIKASINYA PADA KONSTRUKSI KOMPAKTIVIKASI STONE-CECH

Di dalam skripsi ini dibahas mengenai ring C(X,R) dan C star (X,R) dan aplikasinya pada konstruksi kompaktivikasi Stone-Cech. Hal yang dibahas dari ring semua fungsi kontinu meliputi karakterisasi-karakterisasi sebagai ring, ruang vektor, dan aljabar pada C(X,R) dan C star (X,R). Selanjutnya, akan dibahas mengenai jenis-jenis dan sifat yang dimiliki oleh topologi-topologi yang dapat dibentuk pada ring C(X,R) dan C star (X,R). Terakhir, hal yang dibahas adalah aplikasi ring semua fungsi kontinu pada konstruksi kompaktivikasi Stone-Cech. Pembahasan tersebut meliputi konstruksi kompaktivikasi Stone-Cech dari ruang topologi completely regular X dengan memanfaatkan ruang topologi Cstar (X,R).

In this bachelor thesis, we discussed the rings C(X,R) and C star (X,R) and its application on construction of Stone-Cech compactification. For the rings of real valued continuous function, we characterized those rings as ring, vector space, and algebra. Furthermore, we discussed the topologies defined in C(X,R) and C star (X,R) and properties of topology spaces C(X,R) and C star (X,R). Finally, we applied those rings to construct the Stone- Cech compactification from completely regular space X by developing some properties of the topological space C star (X,R).
