Pada tugas akhir ini, akan dibahas mengenai salah satu metode untuk menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial parsial non-linear yaitu metode inversi hamburan. Metode inversi hamburan merupakan suatu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan suatu persamaan diferensial parsial non-linear dengan suatu syarat awal tertentu dengan memanfaatkan beberapa sifat dari Persamaan Sturm-Liouville. Metode ini menyajikan solusi eksak dari permasalahan persamaan diferensial parsial yang dijadikan sebagai objek penelitian dengan mencari data-data hamburan berdasarkan syarat awal yang telah diberikan (Ablowitz, 2003). Selanjutnya, pada akhir pembahasan akan dipaparkan penerapan metode inversi hamburan untuk mendapatkan solusi dari Persamaan Korteweg-de Vries.

In this final project will be discussed a method to solve some non-linear differential partial equations, the method is called invers scattering method. Invers scattering method is a method that can be used to solve some non-linear differential partial equations with initial value problem that use some characteristic of Sturm-Liouville equation. This method presents an exact solution to the problem of partial differential non-linear equations which being used as the object of research by looking for the scattering data based on initial value that are known (Ablowitz, 2003). Furthermore, at the end of the discussion the application of this method will be presented to obtain a solution of Korteweg-de Vries Equation.
