PENGARUH TAMBAHAN ZEOFEED-2 DI DALAM PAKAN TERHADAP KUALITAS TELUR PUYUH {Cot\±rrtix-cot'ami>: JetpartiCCL> Umi Suciati (2293/PT) INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan Zeofeed-2 dalam pakan puyuh {Cot tux-nix-coturnix Japonica.) terhadap kualitas telur yang meliputi bobot telur, bobot dan tebal kerabang telur, bobot dan tinggi putih telur, bobot dan warna kuning telur serta nilai Haugh Unit (HU). Seratus dua puluh ekor puyuh betina umur 52 hari dibagi secara acak dalam tiga perlakuan pakan. Setiap perlakuan pakan terdiri dari empat ulangan yang masingmasing terdiri dari 10 ekor puyuh betina. Satu pakan basal tersusun dari 40% konsentrat broiler, 30% jagung kuning halus, 26% bekatul dan 4% tepung CaCCa. Tiga perlakuan pakan dibedakan berdasarkan jumlah Zeofeed-2 yang ditambahkan ke dalam 1 kg pakan basal yaitu 0 gram Zeofeed—2 (PI), 15 gram Zeofeed-2 ( P2) dan 30 gram Zeofeed-2 (P3). Pakan dan air minum diberikan secara cidlibituni. Semua data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis variansi CRD(Completely Randomized DesignD pola searah dan yang berbeda dilanjutkan dengan DMRT(Duncan's New Multiple Range Testy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang non signifikan terhadap bobot telur, bobot dan tebal kerabang telur, bobot putih telur, warna kuning telur dan nilai Haugh Unit (HU), tetapi terdapat perbedaan ( P<0,05) terhadap bobot kuning telur dan tinggi putih telur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tambahan Zeofeed-2 sampai sebanyak 30 gram di dalam 1 kg pakan basal dapat memperbaiki bobot kuning telur dan menurunkan tinggi putih telur, tetapi tetap mempertahankan bobot telur, bobot dan tebal kerabang telur, bobot putih telur, warna kuning telur dan nilai Haugh unit (HU). THE EFFECT OF ADDED ZEOFEED-2 To A RATION ON THE EGG QUALITY OF QUAIL (Coturnix-coturnix japonica ) Umi Suciati ( 2293/PT) ABSTRACT The study was conducted to investigate the effect of added Zeofeed-2 to quail ration on the egg quality namely, egg weight, weight and egg shell thickness, weight and albumen hight, weight and yolk colour and the value of Haugh Unit ( HU ). One hundred and twenty ( 120) female quails at 52 days old were used in this study, and were randomly devided into three ration groups with four replication of 10 quails, respectively. The basal ration was composed of 40% broiler concentrate, 30% ground yellow corn, 26% rice bran and 4% CaCCa meal. Three ration treatments were differed by Zeofeed-2 addition per kg basal ration, namely 0 g, 15 g and 30 g of Zeofeed-2 addition, respectively for treatments I, II and III. The diets and water were given at ad libitum levels. The collected data were analysed by an equal of variance analysis, followed by testing the significant means by DMRT (Duncan's New Multiple Range Test ). The results indicated that there were no significant differences between treatments on egg weight, weight and egg shell thickness, albumen weight, yolk colour and Haugh Unit ( HU ). On the contrary, there were significant effects ( P < 0,05) on the yolk weight, and the hight of albumen. It was concluded that the Zeofeed-2 addition up to 30 g per kg basal ration could improve yolk weight, but decreased the albumen hight. However, it could maintain the egg weight, weight and egg shell thickness, albumen weight, yolk colour and Haugh Unit ( HU ) value. (Key Words: Zeofeed-2 , Ration, Egg Quality, Quail ).
