ANALISIS EKONOMETRI KETAHANAN PANGAN DAN VARIABEL MAKRO EKONOMI DI INDONESIA: PENDEKATAN VECTOR AUTOREGRESSIVE (VAR)

Food security is a multidimensional issue which is correlate with various aspects, such as social, economic, political and environmental. The food security issue included in 2 of the 17 main agenda for sustainable development goals (SDGs) in 2030 which is efforts to alleviating hunger problems (Zero Hunger) and efforts to realize better health and welfare. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of macroeconomic variables (food production index, food exports, food imports, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), government expenditures, and population) on food security in Indonesia using the Model Vector Autoregression approach (VAR). The results of the analysis show that the six macroeconomic variables significantly have varied effects (positive and negative) on food availability which is a proxy for food security in Indonesia. This result shows that the problem of food security in Indonesia is very sensitive influenced by changes in macroeconomic variables.
