PENGARUH RANSUM FASE AKHIR DENGAN TAMBAHAN DL-METIONIN TERHADAP PENAMPILAN, KARKAS DAN LEMAK TUBUH AYAM BROILER JANTAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan DL-metionin sintetis ke dalam ransum fase akhir terhadap konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan, bobot hidup , bobot karkas, persentase bobot karkas, bobot lemak abdominal dan persentase lemak abdominal ayam broiler jantan . Empatpuluh lima ekor ayam broiler jantan strain AS-101 umur 4 minggu dikelompokkan secara acak menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan ransum yang masing-masing mendapat 3 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor ayam yang ditempatkan pada kandang baterai sampai umur 7 minggu. Lima kelompok perlakuan ransum adalah MO (ransum komersial Broiler II produksi PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia tanpa tambahan DL-metionin sinte- tis), M2 (ransum BR II + 0,2% DL-metionin sintetis), M4 (ransum BR II + 0,4% DL-metionin sintetis), M6 (ransum BR II + 0,6% DL-metionin sintetis) dan M8 (ransum BR II + 0,8% DL-metionin sintetis). Ransum perlakuan dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Karkas dan perlemakan didapat dengan jalan pemotongan ayam (3 ekor untuk tiap perlakuan ransum) pada saat ayam berumur 7 minggu. Semua data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis variansi Completely Randomized Design dan yang berbeda signifikan dilanjutkan dengan Duncan's New Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang non signifikan terhadap pertambahan bobot badan , konversi pakan , bo- bot hidup , bobot karkas dan persentase bobot karkas, namun menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (P <0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan , bobot lemak abdominal dan persentase lemak abdominal. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah penambahan DL-metionin sintetis 0,4 sampai dengan 0,8% ke dalam ransum fase akhir dapat menurunkan konsumsi pakan , bobot lemak abdominal dan persentase bobot lemak abdominal, namun tidak mengubah pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan , bobot hidup , bobot karkas dan persentase bobot karkas. The study was conducted to determine the effect of the addition of DL-methionine synthetic in finishing ration on feed consumption , weight gain , feed conversion , live weight, carcass weight , percentage of carcass weight, abdominal fat weight and percentage of abdominal fat of male broilers. In a Completely Randomized Design , forty five male broiler chicks of AS-101 strain at four weeks old were randomly distributed to five dietary treatments and each treatment was replicated three times with three broilers per replicate and were placed in battery colony cages. Five dietary treatments namely MO (Broiler II commercial ration product by PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia without addition of synthetic DL-methionine), M 2 (BR II ration + 0.2% synthetic DL-methionine), M4 (BR II ration + 0.4% synthetic DL-methionine), M6 (BR II ration + 0.6% synthetic DL-methionine) and M8 (BR II ration + 0.8% synthetic DL-methionine). The dietary treatments and drinking water were given ad libitum. At seven weeks old , 3 broilers from each treatment were randomly slaughtered in order to obtain carcass quality and body fat of broilers. Duncan's multiple range test was used to compare the means if the analyzed of the variance indicated significant difference. The results showed that the effect of dietary treatments were not significantly different on weight gain , feed convertion , live weight, carcass weight and percentage of carcass weight, but it showed significantly different (P < 0.05) on feed consumption , abdominal fat weight and percentage of abdominal fat. Therefore it could be concluded that addition synthetic DL-methionine 0.4 up to 0.8% in the finishing ration seemed to reduce feed consumption, abdominal fat weight without influencing weight gain , feed convertion , live weight, carcass weight and percentage of carcass weight.
