PENGARUH SUPLEMENTASI KONSENTRAT UNDEGRADED PROTEIN PADA PAKAN BASAL JERAMI PADI TERHADAP PERTAMBAHAN BOBOT BADAN SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi dengan konsentrat undegraded protein pada pakan basal jerami padi terhadap pertambahan bobot badan sapi Peranakan Ongole ( PO ) . Enam ekor sapi PO jantan berumur sekitar 2 tahun dan bobot badan rat:a ~ rata 250 ± - 2, 5 kg secara acak di. bagi inenjadi 2 kelompok masing-masing 3 ekor. Kelompok I diberi konsentrat: yang terdiri dari onggok, molases, ketela pohon , tepung daun lamtoro, dedak halus, bungkil biji kapok dan bungkil kedelai dengan perbandingan 24:4:21:12:15:8:16%. Penambahan 2% formaldehid dilakukan pada bungkil biji kapok dan bungkil kedelai untuk mendapatkan bahan pakan undegraded protein. Kelompok II diberi pakan konsentrat komersial. Air rninum dan pakan basal jerami padi diberikan secara ad libitum. Konsentrat diberikan sebanyak 30 g /kg BB0, ? 5 , Pengumpulan data selama 14 rninggu dan penimbangan ternak dilakukan setiap minggu sekali. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistik menggunakan . uji-t. Basil analisis menunjukkan antara kedua kelompok perlakuan berbeda tidak nyata, yaitu pada konsumsi bahan kering , untuk kelompok I dan II ( 85,32 vs 91,03 g/ kg BB0,75/hari ), protein kasar (7,51 vs 7,29 g/ kg BB0|75/hari), total digestible nutrients ( 42,14 vs 43,56 g/kg BB0,75 ./hari), pertambahan bobot badan ( 0,48 vs 0,25 kg/ekor/hari) dan konversi pakan (13,50 vs 27,73). Disimpulkan bahwa pertambahan bobot badan sapi PO yang diberi suplementasi konsentrat undegraded protein pada pakan basal jerami padi hampir sama dengan konsentrat komersial. The research was conducted to determine the effects of concentrate supplementation with undegraded protein to rice straw basal diet on gain weight of male Ongole Crossbred ( OC) cattle. Six male OC of two years old and average weight of 250 ± 2.5 kg were randomly divided into two groups. The first group was given concentrate containing cassava pomace, molasses, cassava, Leucaena leaf meal, rice bran, Ceiba pentandra seed meal and soybean meal with ratio of 24:4:21:12:15:8.^ 16%. Two percents formaldehid was added to Ceiba pentandra seed meal and soybean meal to obtain undegraded protein feed. The second group was given commercial concentrate. Drinking water and rice straw were given ad libitum. Concentrates were given 30 g /kg W0'75. Data were collected during 14 weeks and cattle was weight every week. The data were analyzed by t -test. The result indicated that there were no significant differences between two groups, dry matter consumption of trial I and II were ( 85.32 vs 91.03 g /kg W0 - 75/day), crude protein (7.51 vs 7.29 g /kg W0 - 75/day), total digestible nutrients (42.14 vs 43.56 g/kg W°'75/ day ), gain weight ( 0.48 vs 0.25 kg /animal/day ) and feed conversion (13.50 vs 27.73). It can be concluded that the gain weight of male OC cattle given concentrate undegraded protein to rice straw basal diet were similar to commercial concentrate.
