Perbedaan Pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran Demonstrasi Dan Video Streaming Terhadap Pengetahuan Dan Keterampilan Preklinik Tooth Surface Protection (Kajian Pada Mahasiswa Jurusan Keperawatan Gigi Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta)

Latar Belakang: Metode pembelajaran merupakan sarana memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Perkembangan dunia pembelajaran sangat pesat dengan adanya internet seperti metode belajar secara online. Videi streaming merupakan sarana pendidikan melalui internet. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan video streaming terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan preklinik tooth surface protection. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian quasi exsperiment dengan rancangan two group posttest. Subjek penelitian mahasiswa tingkat dua Diploma III berjumlah 36 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Variabel bebas, yaitu metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan video streaming. Variabel terikat, pengetahuan dan keterampilan diukur dengan cara observasi pada praktek preklinik menggunakan checklist setelah subjek diberi perlakuan dengan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan video streaming tentang tooth surface protection. Sebagai variabel convounding adalah kecerdasan/IPK dan pengetahuan awal/kemampuan dasar. Analisis data dengan regresi korelasi dan t-test pada tingkat (sig.) < 0,05. Hasil Penelitian: Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa IPK bukan sebagai variabel convounding peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan p>0.05 (0,719 dan 0,655). Sebagai analisis selanjutnya t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan (p=0,000) antara metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan video streaming terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan variabel metode pembelajaran (sig.)=0,000 berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Kontribusi pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan 82% (R2 =0,820) dan keterampilan 58,2% (R2=0,582). Variabel pengetahuan (sig.) =0,000 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan dengan kontribusi pengaruh 53,1% (R2=0,531). Kesimpulan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tooth surface protection pada metode pembelajaran demonstrasi lebih tinggi daripada video streaming

Bacground: As important means to obtain knoedge and skills, learning method has developed greatly along with the rapid used of Internet as an online learning method, including throught the popular use of video streaming as an online educational tool. This study aims to compare between demonstration and video streaming learning methodds on preclinic knowledge and skills ot tooth surface protection. Research Method: The research was conducted as quasi-experimental research by designing two post-test groups. The research subjects were 36 Diploma III students who met the inclusion criteria. It used two independent variables namely demonstration and video streaming learning methods. The dependent varibles were students' knowledge and skill, wich were measured by means of observation in preclinical practices using a checklist after the subjects were trained with demonstration learning methods and video atreaming about tooth surface protection. The confounding variables were atudents' intelligence/GPA and their initial knowledge/basic skills. The data were analyzed of corelation regression analysis and t-test with level (sig.)<0,05. Results: The regretion analysis showed that the GPA was not a confounding variables to improve students' knowledge and skills p>0,05 (0,719 and0,655). The next analysis t-test showing indicates there is a significant (sig.)=0,000 difference between the two learning methods, demonstration and video streaming, in terms of students' knowledge and skills. The regression analysis shows that the learning method variable (sig.)=0,000 is significant for knowledge and skills by improving the knowledge with 82% (R2 = 0,820) and skills with 58,2% (R2 = 0,582). Knowledge varibke (sig.)=0,000 significantly affects the skill with 53,1% (R2 = 0,531). Conclusion: The knowledge and skills of tooth surface protection in the demonstration learning method are higher than those of video streaming
