PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SLUDGE LIMBAH PENYAMAKAN KULIT SEBAGAI PUPUK TERHADAP PRODUKSI HIJAUAN DAN KANDUNGAN TOTAL KROM TANAMAN KACANG TANAH ( Arachis hypogeae )

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan sludge limbah penyamakan kulit terhadap produksi hijauan dan kandungan total krom pada hijauan tanaman kacang tanah. Tiga puluh plastik polybag yang berisi medium tanah-kompos dengan perbandingan 10:3 yang masing-masing berisi dua tanaman kacang tanah, secara acak dibagi dalam lima perlakuan dan diletakkan dalam rumah kaca. Perlakuan (P) 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5 masing-masing berturut-turut adalah 0%, 1%, '2%, 3% dan 4% sludge limbah penyamakan kulit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata produksi hijauan tanaman kacang tanah dipengaruhi ( P<0,05) oleh pupuk sludge limbah penyamakan kulit. Produksi hijauan menurun signifikan (P<0,05) dari 26,88 g pada P-1 menjadi 17,75 g pada P-4 dan 17,52 g pada P-5 sedangkan antara P-1 dengan P-2 (22,35 g) dan P- 3 (21,13 g ) secara statistik tidak ada perbedaan. Kandungan krom tidak dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan dan variasi kandungan krom berkisar antara 5,27 ppm pada P-5 sampai 5,38 ppm pada P-1. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penambahan sludge limbah penyamakan kulit mulai level 3% akan menurunkan produksi hijauan, tetapi tidak mempengaruhi kandungan total krom. The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of sludge of tanning waste on forage production and chrome content of peanut forage. Thirty plastic polybags contained soil-manure at weight ratio of 10:3 with two peanut plants each were used in this experiment and randomly divided into five treatments and placed in a green house. Treatments (T) 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 4% sludge of tanning waste respectively. The results of the study indicated that the average of forage productions was influenced (P<0,05 ) by sludge of tanning waste. Peanut forage was decresed significantly ( P<0,05 ) from 26,88 g at T-l become 17,75 g at T-4 and 17, 52 g at T-5. Between T-l with T-2 (22,35 g) and T-3 (21,13 g) according to statistic were not significant different. The chrome content was not influenced by treatments and variation of chrome content in rotation between 5,27 ppm at T-5 until 5,38 ppm at T-l. It was concluded that added sludge of tanning waste from 3% decreased forage productions, but it was not influenced chrome content of peanut forage.
