UJI VARIASI UKURAN DIAMETER BENIH DARI BERBAGAI KELAS UMUR AREAL PRODUKSI BENIH JATI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI SAMPAI UMUR 8 BULAN DI WANAGAMA I

1995 | Skripsi | S1 KEHUTANANPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian lanjutan sekaligus melengkapi penelitian uji Sumber Benih Jati (Seed Sources Trial) yang telah dilakukan terdahulu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ( 1) pengaruh kelas umur areal produksi benih jati terhadap pertumbuhan semai, (2) pengaruh variasi ukuran diameter benih dari berbagai areal produksi benih jati terhadap pertumbuhan semai, (3) adanya interaksi antara variasi ukuran diameter benih dengan variasi kelas umur areal produksi benih jati terhadap pertumbuhan semai. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan 4 kelas ukuran diameter benih dan 4 kelas umur dari berbagai areal produksi benih jati, bertempat di Wanagama I, Gunung Kidul. Tanaman uji terdiri 16 seedlot, digunakan ranoangan split plot design, sebagai mainplot adalah kelas umur dan sebagai subplot adalah ukuran diameter, dengan 3 treeplot, 4 blok dan jarak tanam 3 x 3 m. Pelaksanaan penanaman dilakukan pada bulan Mei 1994 setelah tanaman berumur 3 bulan di persemaian. Pemupukan dilakukan dengan pemberian sebanyak ± 70 g pupuk NPK tiap tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi kelas umur terhadap pertumbuhan semai di lapangan tidak memperlihatkan adanya pengaruh yang nyata untuk tinggi tanaman, sedangkan untuk diameter tanaman pengaruhnya sangat nyata pada kelas umur V sebesar 7,0 mm. Variasi ukuran diameter benih pengaruhnya sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan semai di lapangan. Tinggi tanaman tertinggi 19.8 cm dicapai oleh benih dengan ukuran diameter > 18 mm dan untuk diameter tanaman terbesar 7, 1 mm dicapai oleh benih dengan ukuran diameter 15 - 18 mm. Interaksi antara variasi kelas umur dan variasi ukuran diameter benih pengaruhnya sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan semai di lapangan. Tinggi tanaman tertinggi 21.8 cm dicapai oleh seedlot 16 yaitu berasal dari kelas umur IX dengan benih ukuran diameter > 18 mm dan untuk diameter tanaman terbesar 7,7 mm dicapai oleh seedlot 11 yaitu berasal dari kelas umur VII dengan benih ukuran diameter 15 - 18 mm.
This research is a continuous research to support the seed sources trial that had conducted before. This research, therefore, is conducted to know (1) the effect of age class of the hardwood tree production area into the seedling growth, (2) the effect of the diameter size variation of hardwood tree seeds from some seed production areas to the seedling growth, (3) the interaction between the seed size diameter with age class variation of the area of hardwood tree production area into the seedling growth. The research was conducted to use 4 class the seed diameter size trial and 4 the various production area age class, located at Wanagama I, Gunung Kidul. The trial plants consist of 16 seedlots, using split plot design, as the main plot was the age class and as the subplot was the diameter sise, with 3 tree plots, 4 blocks in the 3 x 3 m planted range. The seed was planted in May 1994 after the were 2 months in the seedling area. The fertilisation was executed by giving ± 70 g fertiliser of NPK for each plant. The result of research shown that the age class variation did not ferfrom the significant into the seedling growth in plants height, while for diameter plants extremely clear, including on the class age V at a height of 7,0 mm. The effect of variation diameter sise seed was extremely clear to the seed growth in the field. The height of the highest 19,3 cm plant achieved with diameter sise seed >18 mm and for the largest 7, 1 mm plants were achieved with diameter sise seed of 15-18 mm. The effect of the interaction between the class age and the diameter sise seed, was extremely clear to the seed growth in the field. The height of the highest 21,3 cm plants achieved with seedlot 16 derived from the age class X with the diameter sise seed of > 18 mm and for the largest 7,7 mm plants were achieved with seedlot 11, derived from the age class of VII with the diameter sise seed of 15 - 18 mm.
