ESTIMASI NILAI HERITABILITAS BERAT LAHIR, SAPIH DAN SATU TAHUN PADA SAPI BALI DI BALAI PEMBIBITAN TERNAK UNGGUL SAPI BALI, DENPASAR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai heritabilitas (h2) berat lahir, sapih dan satu tahun Sapi Bali. Materi penelitian yang digunakan yaitu catatan berat lahir, sapih dan satu tahun di Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Sapi Bali, Denpasar dari tahun 2006 sampai 2009. Estimasi nilai heritabilitas dilakukan berdasarkan analisis saudara tiri sebapak dengan rancangan one way. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa heritabillitas berat lahir, sapih dan satu tahun berturut-turut adalah 0,85 ± 0,44; 0,51 ± 0,32 dan 0,54 ± 0,32. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai heritabilitas berat lahir relatif lebih tinggi dari ratarata hasil penelitian sebelumnya, sedangkan nilai heritabilitas berat sapih dan satu tahun sapi Bali di BPTU Sapi Bali bernilai positif dan tinggi. The experiment was conducted to estimate heritabilitry (h2) of birth weight, weaning weight and yearling weight of Bali Cattle. This experiment used of pedegree record of Bali Cattle at Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Sapi Bali, Denpasar from year 2006 until 2009. The estimation of heritability were analysed Paternal Halfsib Correlation method with Completely Randomized Design One Way Classification. The results shown that the heritability of birth weight, weaning weight and yearling weight circumference respectively were 0.85 ± 0.44; 0.51 ± 0.32 and 0.54 ± 0.32. In conclusion that the heritability of birth weight relative higher from before research, and the heritability of weaning weight and yearling weight of Bali Cattle at BPTU Sapi Bali value positive and hight.
