FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI CURAHAN WAKTU ISTERI DALAM PEMELIHARAAN SAPI POTONG DI KANDANG KELOMPOK SIDOMULYO, DESA SEGOROYOSO, PLERET, BANTUL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi curahan waktu isteri dalam pemeliharaan sapi potong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2009 sampai Januari 2010 di Kandang Kelompok Sidomulyo, Segoroyoso, Pleret, Bantul dengan melibatkan 38 anggota Kandang Kelompok Sidomulyo yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi curahan waktu isteri dalam pemeliharaan sapi potong dianalisis secara regresi berganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan 11 macam variabel independen. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan R2 = 0.405, variabel-variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini secara bersama-sama berpengaruh sangat signifikan (p<0.01) terhadap curahan waktu isteri. Umur isteri memberikan pengaruh positif secara signifikan (p<0.05), umur suami memberikan pengaruh negatif secara signifikan (p<0.05) dan pekerjaan suami memberikan pengaruh positif secara sangat signifikan (p<0.01). Isteri hanya menyumbangkan 17.44% dari total waktu untuk memelihara sapi potong. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi curahan waktu isteri dalam pemeliharaan sapi potong adalah umur isteri, umur suami dan pekerjaan suami. The aim of this study was to find out factors influencing time allocation of housewives in beef cattle farming. This study was conducted from December 2009 to January 2010 at Sidomulyo Group, Segoroyoso, Pleret, Bantul which involved 38 members of Sidomulyo Group by a technique of purposive sampling. The factors which influenced the time allocation of housewives in beef cattle farming were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. There were 11 independent variables observed in this study. The result showed that R2 = 0.405, all the variables in this study had a very significant effect (p<0.01) as a whole to the time allocation of the housewives. The age of the housewife gave a significant positive effect (p<0.05), the husband’s age gave a significant negative effect (p<0.05), the husband’s occupation gave a very significant positive effect (p<0.01). The housewives only allocated 17.44% of the total time in the beef cattle farming. The study came to a conclusion that factors influencing the time allocation of the housewives in beef cattle farming were the housewife’s age, the husband’s age, and the husband’s occupation.
