Dampak liberalisme-kapitalisme yang dibawa globalisasi berpengaruh luar biasa terhadap budaya dan ekonomi, tentunya akan mengeser pola kebiasan dan mengikis budaya gotong royong masyarakat. Hal ini yang menjadi titik tolak peneliti untuk melihat dampak perubahan sistem ekonomi di dalam masyarakat. Ekonomi kesejahteraan menjadi sudut pandang yang ingin di ungkapkan untuk melihat ekonomi jalan tengah terkait gerakan ekonomi kooperatif credit union. Tujuan penelitian ini mengungkap ide dasar landasan ekonomi kesejahteraan terkait hal yang melandasi, mengerakkan, dan mengarahkan ekonomi credit union, hal terkait pendidikan, swadaya, dan solidaritas menjadi pilar kunci utama. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian bersifat kualitatif, dengan analisis serta deskriptif sebagai upaya untuk menyampaikan fakta dengan jelas terkait ekonomi kesejahteraan credit union. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara telaah kepustakaan yang digali dengan teknik historis faktual dari tokoh, buku, skripsi, majalah dan naskah. Hasil yang dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah dasar dari credit union adalah pendidikan. Swadaya dalam arti dikelola bersama sama oleh seluruh anggota, untuk kepentingan anggota dan menunjang kebutuhannya, swadaya menjadi kekuatan credit union dari anggota untuk menghimpun kekuatan bersama. Solidaritas di dalam keanggotaan credit union adalah rasa kebersamaan dalam lingkup untuk saling meringankan setiap beban atau pun kesusahan yang mendera untuk diselesaikan bersama sama.

Data collection in this research using methods research qualitative, with analysis and descriptive as the effort to convey the fact clearly related to the economy welfare of the credit union. The study was conducted by review of the literature unearthed with the techniques of historical factual of figures, books, thesis, magazines and manuscripts The results achieved from this research is the basis of the credit union is education. Self-help in the sense of co-managed equally by all members, for the benefit of members and support their needs, self-help become the strength of the credit union from members to gather strength together. Solidarity within the membership of the credit union is a sense of togetherness within the scope of for mutual relieve any burden or distress out of whack to be solved together.
