Informasi mengenai karakteristik hutan rakyat diperlukan dalam menentukan etat tebangan pada tegakan hutan rakyat di Dusun Kepuhan. Penentuan etat tebangan menjadi acuan dalam pemanenan hutan rakyat di Dusun Kepuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik hutan rakyat yang berkaitan dengan penentuan etat tebangan dan menentukan etat tebangan di Dusun Kepuhan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei, dengan pengambilan data menggunakan stratified random sampling. Karakteristik hutan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Perhitungan etat didekati dengan metode Von Mantel dan Brandis. Hasil penelitian memberikan informasi karakteristik hutan rakyat di Dusun Kepuhan dikelola dengan sistem silvikutur tebang pilih dengan permudaan alam (tebang butuh), struktur tegakan hutan rakyat berdasarkan jumlah pohon berbentuk huruf J terbalik menyerupai hutan tidak seumur, kurva hubungan antara volume tegakan dengan diameter menunjukkan semakin besar kelas diameter semakin besar volume. Berdasarkan karakteristik struktur dan kurva volume tegakan, maka perhitungan etat didekati dengan Metode Von Mantel dan Brandis. Potensi total tegakan hutan rakyat di Dusun Kepuhan dengan luas 31,85 Ha sebesar 2.320,69 m3. Etat tebangan dengan metode Von Mantel dan Brandis untuk jenis Jati dengan daur 15 tahun sebesar 54,44 m3/tahun dan 27 pohon/tahun, untuk jenis Mahoni dengan daur 15 tahun sebesar 68,49 m3/tahun dan 288 pohon/tahun, jenis Akasia dengan daur 10 tahun sebesar 15,63 m3/tahun dan 80 pohon/tahun, dan jenis Campuran dengan daur 10 tahun sebesar 261,4 m3/tahun dan 721 pohon/tahun.

The information of characteristic on community forest is needed in determining the annual allowable cut in Kepuhan Sub-Village. The determination of annual allowable cut has been the reference of cutting method on community forest in Kepuhan Sub-Village. This research aimed to identify the charactheristic of community forest related to annual allowable cut determination and to determine the annual allowable cut of community forest in Dusun Kepuhan. Survey method was used in this research, using stratified random sampling as collecting data method. The characteristic was analyzed descriptively. Annual allowable cut estimation was approched using Von Mantel and Brandis method. The results of the study show the characteristics of community forest in Dusun Kepuhan is managed using silvikultur system with selective cutting natural regeneration (tebang butuh), the stand structure of community forests based on the number of trees is a reverse letter "J" resembling uneven-aged forest. The correlation curve between stand volume and diameter class shows the bigger diameter class the bigger volume. Based on structure and volume stands curve characteristics, annual allowable cut estimation approches Von Mantel and Brandis method. The total potential of community forest stands is 2,320.69 m3. The annual allowable cut based on Von Mantel and Brandis method for each species as follows: for teak with cycle used of 15 years is 54.44 m3/year and 27 trees/year, mahagony with cycle used of 15 years is 68.49 m3/year and 288 trees/year, acacia with cycle used of 10 years is 15.63 m3/year and 80 trees/year, and mixture with cycle used of 10 years is 261.4 m3/year and 721 trees/year.
