GAGALNYA TRANSFORMASI KLUB SEPAK BOLA TRADISIONAL MENUJU PROFESIONAL: PERSIS SOLO 1950-an – 1980-an

Penelitian ini membahas tentang gagalnya klub sepak bola Persis Solo dalam bertransformasi dan menyesuaikan diri dengan dunia sepak bola di era pasca kemerdekaan yang semakin menuntut profesionalisme. Persis Solo yang pada mulanya berjaya dalam kompetisi Perserikatan era kolonial harus terus mengalami keterpurukan hingga terjerembab di Divisi II B Jawa Tengah yang merupakan kasta terendah dalam kompetisi sepak bola di Indonesia pada tahun 1980-an. Perjalanan Persis Solo dalam mengarungi sepak bola nasional akan memperlihatkan apa saja hal-hal yang menyebabkan Persis Solo sebagai klub sepak bola tradisional gagal mempertahankan kejayaannya di era pasca kemerdekaan. Tidak menutup kemungkinan kasus yang dialami oleh Persis Solo juga terjadi dengan klub-klub tradisional lain yang berada di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menjelaskan apa saja faktor yang dialami Persis Solo sehingga gagal dalam bertransformasi menjadi profesional baik dari menejemen tim hingga perekrutan pemain, bagaimana perbedaan atmosfer kompetisi sepak bola di era kolonial, kemerdekaan, hingga masa orde baru, serta kronologi dekadensi prestasi Persis Solo dan upaya menyelamatkan Persis Solo dari keterpurukan. Disinyalir adanya sebuah kegagalan dalam transformasi kala Persis harus memulai kembali beradaptasi dari iklim sepak bola era kolonial menuju era pasca kemerdekaan yang mengarah pada profesionalisme.

This study discusses the failure of Persis Solo football club in transforming and adapting to the football world in the post-independence era when the demand of professionalism increased. Persis Solo, which at first was victorious in the colonial era competition, had to continue experiencing a downturn in the Division II of Central Java, which was the lowest caste in soccer competition in Indonesia in the 1980s. The journey of Persis Solo in getting through national football would show the things that had caused Persis Solo as a traditional football club to fail in maintaining its glory in the post-independence era. It does not rule out the possibility that cases experienced by Persis Solo also are also experienced by other traditional clubs in Indonesia. This study explains the things that Persis Solo had experienced that caused a failure in transformation into a professional club, both from team management to recruitment of players, how different the football competitions were in the era colonial were , independence, until the New Order era, as well as the chronology of Persis Solo's decadence of achievements and efforts to save Persis Solo from adversity. It was alleged that there was a failure in the transformation when Persis had to begin to readapt from the colonial era football climate to the post-independence era which led to professionalism.
