Inovasi Petani dalam Pengembangan Pertanian di Lahan Pasir Pantai Desa Bugel Kecamatan Panjatan Kabupaten Kulon Progo

Inovasi pertanian memiliki peran penting dalam pembangunan pertanian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Bugel, Kecamatan Panjatan, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan: (1) mengetahui inovasi petani dalam pengembangan pertanian di lahan pasir pantai, (2) mengetahui cakupan inovasi petani di lahan pasir pantai, (3) serta mengetahui sumber dan proses penemuan inovasi petani di lahan pasir pantai. Metode dasar penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan lokasi dan kelompok tani dilakukan secara purposif. Informan terdiri dari ketua kelompok tani, pengurus kelompok tani, dan anggota kelompok tani. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi yang terdapat di lahan pasir pantai Desa Bugel berupa traktor roda empat, traktor rotari roda ban, benih hibrida, mulsa plastik, infus, selang, jet pump, tangki elektrik, paranet, dan pasar lelang. Inovasi yang berada dalam cakupan kelompok berupa jet pump sedangkan cakupan masyarakat berupa traktor roda empat, traktor rotari roda ban, benih hibrida, mulsa plastik, infus, selang, tangki elektrik, paranet, dan pasar lelang. Proses penemuan inovasi pertanian lahan pasir pantai Desa Bugel melalui peralihan alat yang biasa digunakan pada lahan sawah ke lahan pasir pantai, pengenalan inovasi oleh Koramil dan Dinas Pertanian, maupun trial dan error oleh petani. Inovasi pertanian lahan pasir pantai Desa Bugel yang proses penyebarannya sangat cepat yaitu traktor rotari roda ban, benih hibrida, mulsa plastik, selang, tangki elektrik, paranet, dan pasar lelang; proses penyebarannya cepat yaitu traktor rotari roda empat dan infus; sedangkan proses penyebarannya lambat yaitu jet pump.

Agricultural innovation has an important role in agricultural development. This research was conducted in Bugel Village, Panjatan Sub District, Kulon Progo Regency. This study aims: (1) to find out the innovations of farmers in agricultural development in coastal sandy farming land, (2) to find out the scope of innovations of farmers in coastal sandy farming land, (3) and to find out the sources and process discovery of innovation of farmers in coastal sandy farming land. The basic method of this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Research site and farmer group were taken purposively. Informants consisted of the head of the farmer group, the administrator of the farmer group, and members of the farmer group. Data were analyzed qualitatively through stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The research results showed that the innovations found in the coastal sandy farming land of Bugel Village were in the form of four-wheel tractors, tire wheel rotary tractors, hybrid seeds, plastic mulch, drip irrigation, pipe irrigation, jet pumps, electric tanks, paranet, and auction markets. Innovations which practiced in group scope include jet pumps, while community scope includes four-wheel tractors, tire wheel rotary tractors, hybrid seeds, mulch, drip irrigation, pipe irrigation, electric tanks, paranet, and auction markets. The process of discovering the coastal sandy farming land in Bugel Village through the transition of tools commonly used in paddy fields to coastal sandy farming land, introduced by the Local Millitary Stats and the Agriculture Officers, as well as trial and errors by farmers. Innovations coastal sandy farming land which is a very fast of the spread process is tire wheel rotary tractors, hybrid seeds, plastic mulch, pipe irrigation, electric tank, paranet, and auction market; fast spread process is four wheel rotary tractor and drip irrigation; while slow spread process is the jet pump.
