The influence of shading and mycorrhiza inoculation on the growth of Pinus merkusii- s seedlings on peat medium was studied. Shading treatments are divided into four, namely shading 0 25 %, 50 % and 75 respectively. In addition, mycorrhiza treatments are with (MA) and without (MQ) inoculation. Research design employed is split plot method with six replications. The result of the research indicated that shading treatments showed a highly significant effect on the growth of pine seedling in terms of height, diameter, mycorrhiza percentage, strenghness, total biomas wet weight and dry weight, and top-root ratio. Inoculation with of mycorrhiza showed a significant effect on the growth of pine seedling in terms of height, diameter, mycorrhiza percentage, wet weight and dry weight, while, the interaction effect of shading and mycorrhiza showed a significant effect on mycorrhiza percentage and seedling's wet weight.
