KINERJA REPRODUKSI INDUK SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE, SIMMENTAL DAN LIMOUSIN PERANAKAN ONGOLE DI KECAMATAN SEDAYU KABUPATEN BANTUL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja reproduksi sapi Peranakan Ongole, Simmental dan Limousin Peranakan Ongole di Kecamatan Sedayu, Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei meliputi 4 desa (Argosari, Argorejo, Argodadi, dan Argomulyo). Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan pengamatan secara langsung pada responden yang memiliki induk sapi berumur lebih dari 2 tahun dan sudah pernah beranak, yang terdiri atas induk sapi PO sebanyak 40 ekor, SimPO 40 ekor, dan LimPO 40 ekor. Penelitian dilakukan sejak bulan Juni sampai Juli 2011. Semua data ditabulasi kemudian dihitung ratarata, standar deviasi dan persentasenya. Data reproduksi diuji menggunakan One Way Anova dan jika hasilnya nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Variabel yang diamati terdiri dari identitas responden, umur pertama kawin, umur pertama beranak, post partum estrus, post partum mating, service per conception dan calving interval. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata induk sapi potong jenis PO, SimPO, dan LimPO secara berurutan memiliki induk pertama kawin pada umur 24,20+1,07 bulan, 20,03+0,84 bulan dan 20,80+0,82 bulan; umur pertama beranak 35,10+1,06 bulan, 30,93+0,84 bulan, dan 31,73+0,84 bulan; post partum mating 4,95+1,06 bulan, 3,68+0,24 bulan, dan 4,03+0,36 bulan; service per conception 1,98+0,14 kali, 2,10+0,23 kali, dan 2,22+0,22 kali; calving interval 14,78+0,23 bulan, 14,15+0,33 bulan, dan 14,18+0,41 bulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang nyata pada post partum mating, umur pertama kawin dan umur pertama beranak. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata terhadap calving interval dan service per conception. The research was conducted to evaluate the reproduction performance of Ongole Crossbred cows, Simmental and Limousin Ongole Crossbred at Sedayu regency district of Bantul. It was carried out by survey method to cover 4 villages (Argosari, Argorejo, Argodadi, and Argomulyo). Data were collected through interview and direct observation to respondens who has beef cattle under more that 2 years old and calved more than twice, it was consisted of 40 Ongole Grade, 40 Simmental crossbred and 40 Limousin crossbred. It was conducted on Juni until Juli 2011. The data were tabulated and then counted for average, standard deviation and percentage. Reproduction data were conducted by using a one way anova and if the result is real, it is continued with Duncan test. The variables were respondent’s identity, first mating age, first partum age, post partum estrus, post partum mating, service per conception, and calving interval. The result showed that average of maternal performance PO, SimPO, and LimPO manner to order first mating age 24.20+1.07 months, 20.03+0.84 months and 20.80+0.82 months; first partum age 35.10+1.06 months, 30.93+0.84 months, and 31.73+0.84 months; post partum mating 4.95+1.06 months, 3.68+0.24 months, and 4.03+0.36 months; service per conception 1.98+0.14 times, 2.10+0.23 times, and 2.22+0.22 times; calving interval 14.78+0.23 months, 14.15+0.33 months, and 14.18+0.41 months. Based on the analysis result, it can be concluced that PO, SimPO, and LimPO influences were real to first mating age, post partum mating, and first partum age.
