Penelitian ini diiakukan untuk menentukan model persamaan yang menyajikan hubungan antara volume dan variabel-variabel bebas dari pohon. Untuk menentukan memilih persamaan regresi terbaik dari dimensi pohon digunakan prosedur eliminasi iangkah mundur. Dimensi dari pohon yang digunakan adalah : diameter (D), tinggi batang bebas cabang (Tbc), dengan rnembedakan antara pohon dengan atau tanpa banir. Dari model persamaan volume, tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata antara pohon dengan atau tanpa banir, sehingga persamaan volume yang didapatkan adalah Y = -3,0838 + 0,000704574 D2 + 0,0037 Tbc*D.

This study was conducted to determine volume equation model representing a relationship between volume and independent variables of trees. To select the best regression equation dimention of trees backward elimination procedure was used. Dimention of trees such as diameter (D), height at clear bult (Tbc) were utilized. It was differenciable between trees with and without bulttreeses. With respect to volume equation, there was no difference between trees with and without bulttrees, as long as the trees with no bulttreeses diameter was utilized and the one were bulttreeses diameter was measured at 20 cm above tree bultreeses. Then the volume equation found was Y = -3,0838 + 0,000704574 D2 + 0,0037 Tbc*D.
