FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI BESARNYA KONSUMSI KAYE BAKAR DALAM INBUSTRI GENTING (Studi kasus di Desa Logeae, Kecamatan Pejagoan, Kabupaten Kebumen, Jawa Tengah)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besamya konsumsi kayu bakar dalam industri genting di Desa Logede, Kec. Pejagoan, Kab. Kebumen, Jawa tengah dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Besamya konsumsi kayu bakar dalam industri genting dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya diukur langsung di lapangan dalam satu kali proses produksi genting pada satu tobong. Pengukuran konsumsi kayu bakar didekati dengan menimbang berat kayu bakar yang digunakan dalam proses produksi genting pada kondisi kering angin yang selanjutnya sebagai variabel bergantung (Y). Faktor-faktor yang diduga berpengaruh yaitu kapasitas tobong (Xi), jumlah genting yang dibakar (X2), lama waktu pembakaran (X3) dan lama waktu penggarangan (X4). Analisis regresi digunakan untuk menunjukkan hubungan variabel bergantung dengan variabel tak bergantungnya. Analisis statistik pada model dilakukan dengan menggunakan prosedur eliminasi Iangkah mundur {Backward Elimination Procedure ) dan prinsip jumlah kuadrat ekstra sehingga semua variabel tak bergantung peranannya nyata sebagai variabel terakhir dalam model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan besamya konsumsi kayu bakar dalam industri genting dan paling tidak untuk salah satu dari tiga model regresi dapat digunakan untuk menaksir besamya konsumsi kayu bakar dalam industri genting. Peran dari lama waktu pembakaran (X3) dipengaruhi oleh lama waktu penggarangan (X4).

The aims of this research was to find out the amount of firewood consumption in the roof-tile industry and the role of factors affecting it in Logede Village, Pejagoan Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. The amount of firewood consumption in the roof-tile industry and factors affecting it were measured directly from the field in the process of the roof-tile production in fireplace. The firewood consumption was measured by air dry weight of firewood which was used in the process of roof-tile production which was treated as dependent variable (Y). There were four factors considered influencing the amount of firewood consumption : fireplace capacity (Xi), the amount of burnt roof-tile (X2), time of burning (X3) and time of drying (X4). Regression analysis was used to find the relation between dependent variable and independent variables. Statistical analysis was conducted by using Backward Elimination Procedure and Extra Sum of Square Principle until all independent variables showed siqnificant role as the last independent variable in the model. The result of this research showed the amount of firewood consum ption in the roof-tile industry and at least one from three regressions can be used to estimate the amount of firewood consumption in the roof-tile industry. The role of time of burning (X3) was influenced by the time of drying (X4).
