HUBUNGAN COPING SELF-EFFICACY DENGAN TINGKAT DEPRESI PADA MAHASISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara coping self-efficacy dengan tingkat depresi pada mahasiswa. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan negatif antara coping self-efficacy dengan tingkat depresi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri atas 185 mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Gadjah Mada. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Coping Self-Efficacy Scale dan Beckapostrophes Depression Inventory hyphen Versi Kedua. Hasil uji hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan analisis korelasi membuktikan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Coping self-efficacy memiliki hubungan dengan depresi dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,604 (p < 0,05). Analisis tambahan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tingkat depresi antara kelompok mahasiswa tahun pertama, kedua, dan ketiga.

This research aimed to examine the relationship between coping self-efficacy and level of depression among college students. It was hypothesized that coping self-efficacy has negative correlation with level of depression. 185 students of Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada participated in this research. The measuring tool that was used in this quantitative research are Coping Self-Efficacy Scale and Beckapostrophes Depression Inventory hyphen Second Version. Correlation analysis in this study showed that the result can prove the initial hypothesis. Coping self-efficacy has correlation with level of depression with a correlation coefficient of -0,604 (p < 0,05). Furthermore, additional analysis shows that there is difference in level of depression between first, second, and third year college students.
