Proses pembuatan dokumen kenaikan pangkat dosen akan dilakukan ketika dosen telah dinilai layak untuk naik pangkat. Namun layak atau tidaknya dosen masih sebatas prediksi dari dosen atau tim pengurus. Belum ada sistem yang tepat untuk memprediksi apakah seorang dosen dapat naik pangkat. Ditambah lagi pembuatan dokumen yang membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga dosen tidak segera naik pangkat. Disisi lain proses pembuatan dokumen juga memberikan beban tugas kepada pembuat dokumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu sistem database yang dapat membuat proses pembuatan dokumen PAK menjadi lebih cepat dan mengurangi beban pembuat dokumen. Perkembangan cloud computing merupakan hal yang menjadi tren saat ini. Hal tersebut mendorong penelitian ini untuk menggunakan sistem database yang berbasis cloud. Google Sheets yang diintegrasikan dengan produk Google lainnya dijadikan sebuah sistem database yang digunakan untuk membantu proses pembuatan dokumen PAK. Proses input data yang dulunya dilakukan secara manual langsung ke dalam format PAK kini dimasukan kedalam database melalui Google Form dan Google Sheets. Dari data yang dimasukan kedalam database tersebut, dilakukan sebuah prediksi nilai yang akan didapatkan oleh dosen terkait dan dibuat dokumen PAK yang selama ini dibuat oleh manusia. Selain itu dibuat sebuah dashboard sehingga informasi dosen mana yang sudah layak untuk naik pangkat dapat diketahui. Setiap dosen memiliki file dokumen PAK nya masing-masing. File tersebut akan terbarui jika admin membuat ulang dokumen PAK dosen terkait. Penyuntingan data yang masih butuh diperbaiki juga dapat dilakukan dengan menyunting data tersebut langsung pada database. Sebuah mekanisme pelacakan data dibuat supaya memudahkan pengguna dalam melakukan kepengurusan dokumen PAK.

The creation of PAK document will be done whenever a lecture is eligible to be promoted. But until now the eligibility is just an estimation from the lecture or the management team and there was no available system that can predict which lecture is eligible to be promoted and which not. Furthermore, the creation of PAK document was manualy typed by the PAK admin and requires a lot of time that affect overall process of lecture promotion and also gave more burden towards PAK admin. This study intended to design a database system that able to support the PAK document creation so it can be more effective and efficient As the cloud computing development, this study utilized Google Sheets that based on cloud to create the database system. Google Sheets was also integrated with other Google product which is Google Forms and Google Data Studio. The input process that was done manually now able to be done by Google Forms and Google Sheets. Those data that were inputed into the database were given predicted PAK score and used to create the PAK document for particular lecture that was done by admin. With this score and document, dashboard also created in order to give the information of which lecture is eligible to be promoted and which is not. Every lecture has their own file of PAK document that will be updated everytime the admin recreated the document. Data were also able to be edited if there was any mistake or missing data by edit the data direcly on the database, the tracking mechanism also created in the system so the admin or lecture able to trace in which row the data that need to be edited.
