Wilayah Kepesisiran Kabupaten Kendal merupakan wilayah yang sangat dinamis dengan berbagai proses geomorfik yang terjadi sangatlah kompleks. Dinamika kepesisiran di wilayah Kendal menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan garis pantai secara spasial-temporal. Monitoring dinamika perubahan garis pantai perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui besar dan pola perubahan garis pantai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan garis pantai di sebagian pesisir Kabupaten Kendal dan menghitung nilai perubahannya. Metode yang digunakan meliputi band ratio untuk ekstraksi garis pantai dan menggunakan DSAS untuk menghitung nilai perubahan yang terjadi selama periode pengukuran. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan perubahan yang dinamis selama periode 1990-2017 serta terjadi proses abrasi dan akresi disejumlah lokasi. Proses akresi terbesar sebesar 1763,29 m dan proses abrasi terbesar 792,14 m yang terjadi di Kecamatan Patebon.

Coastal Region of Kendal Regency is a very dynamic region with various geomorphic processes that occur very complex. Coastal dynamics in the Kendal region cause spatial-temporal changes in the coastline. Monitoring the dynamics of shoreline changes needs to be done to determine the size and pattern of shoreline changes. The purpose of this study was to determine the changes in the coastline in part of the coastal area of Kendal Regency and calculate the value of the changes. The method used includes band ratios for shoreline extraction and using DSAS to calculate the value of changes that occur during the measurement period. The results obtained show a dynamic change during the period 1990-2017 and a process of abrasion and accretion in a number of locations. The largest accretion process is 1763.29 m and the largest abrasion process is 792.14 m which occurs in Patebon
