PERBEDAAN EFEKTIVITAS APLIKASI ANTARA OZONATED OLIVE OIL GEL DAN ASAM HIALURONAT GEL SETELAH KURETASE PADA PERIODONTITIS KRONIS ALERGI ANTIBIOTIK

Penyakit periodontal disebabkan oleh akumulasi lokal dari bakteri yang melepas produk liposakarida, pasien dengan alergi antibiotik memiliki keterbatasan menggunakan terapi anti mikroba. Ozone olive oil gel dan asam hilaurat dapat menjadi drug of choice kombinasi terapi kuretase sebagai substansi adjunctive untuk memaksimalkan regenerasi penyembuhan jaringan periodontal. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari perbedaan efek kedua obat tersebut pada perawatan periodontitis pasien alergi antibiotik, parameter yang digunakan adalah bleeding on probing (BOP), pocket depth (PD), relative attachment loss (RAL) dan tinggi tulang alveolar. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri 45 titik poket periodontal penderita alergi antibiotik yang dib agi menjadi tiga kelompok perlakuan. Terapi periodontal yang digunakan adalah kuretase dengan adjuctive Ozone olive oil gel, asam hilaurat dan kuretase, yang diperiksa pada bulan 0,1 dan 3. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji Kruskal wallis pada BOP, PD dan RAL serta analisa U Mann-Whitney pada kerusakan tulang alveolar. Data reduksi antar kelompok di uji untuk melihat signifikasi antara kedua obat. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan kelompok Ozonated olive oil gel, asam hialuronat gel dan kuretase tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada BOP, PD, RAL dan kerusakan tulang alveolar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi ozonated olive oil gel setelah kuretase tidak ada perbedaan efektivitas dalam bleeding on probing, pocket depth, relative attachment loss, kerusakan tulang alveolar dibandingkan aplikasi asam hialuronat gel setelah kuretase pada periodontitis kronis alergi antibiotik.

Periodontal disease is caused by local accumulation of bacteria that releases liposaccharide products, patients with antibiotic allergy have limited use of anti-microbial therapy. Ozone olive oil gel and hialuronat acid can be the drug of choice combination of curettage therapy as an adjunctive substances to maximize regeneration of healing periodontal tissue. This study aimed to study the differences in the effects of these two drugs on the treatment of periodontitis patients who is allergic to antibiotics, the parameters used bleeding on probing (BOP), pocket depth (PD), relative attachment loss (RAL) and alveolar bone height. The study sample consisted of 45 periodontal pocket points for antibiotic allergy patients divided into three treatment groups. Periodontal therapy used was curettage with adjuctive Ozone olive oil gel and hilauronat acid, which was examined in months 0, 1 and 3. The results of the study were analyzed by Kruskal wallis test on BOP, PD and RAL and Mann-Whitney U analysis of alveolar bone damage . Reduction data between groups were tested to see the significance between the two drugs. The results of statistical tests showed that the Ozonated olive oil gel, hyaluronic acid gel and curettage did not show significant differences in BOP, PD, RAL and alveolar bone defect. This study conclude that application of ozonated olive oil gel after curettage show no difference in effectiveness on bleeding on probing, pocket depth, relative attachment loss, alveolar bone damage compared to application of hyaluronic acid gel after curettage in antibiotic allergic chronic periodontitis
