Bagian koronal dipotong sehingga menyisakan akar sepanjang 14 mm, kemudian dipreparasi sampai file #F3/0,06. Spesimen dibagi secara acak menjadi empat perlakuan masing-masing 7 gigi. Kelompok I A dan I B diirigasi akhir dengan EDTA 17%, Kelompok II A dan II B diirigasi akhir dengan EDTA 17% diikuti klorheksidin 2%.

Apical leakage was influenced by final irrigation substance types and rootcanal sealers. The objective of the study was to find out the effect of the irrigationof EDTA 17% and EDTA 17% followed by chlorhexidine 2% on the apical leakagein obturation with resin epoxy and bioceramic sealers. It used 28 post- extraction premolar mandibular teeth. Coronal segment was cut and it resulted in the remaining root of 14mm of length and then preparation was made to file # F3/0,06. Specimen was randomly divided into four treatments of 7 teeth for each . Final irrigation of Groups 1A and 1B was conducted using EDTA 17% while the final irrigation of Groups IIA IIB was conducted using EDTA 17% followed by chlorhexidine 2%. Groups 1A and II A were obturated using resin epoxy sealer, while Group 1B and IIB were obturated using bioceramic sealer and then they were kept incubator for 7 days. Samples were soaked in methylene blue 2% solution for 24 hours and then study subject was split using diamond cutting disc bur. The depth of the color penetration of the methylene blue 2% solution was observed using stereo microscope at 8 magnifications and then the results were transferred into computer for analysis. The results of the study showed that there was significant effect of the final irrigation on the apical leakage. Also, the sealer materials had significant impact on the apical leakage. However, there was not any impact of the interaction between the final irrigation solution and the sealers in root canal on the apical leakage. The conclusion of the study was that apical leakage in the final irrigation substance of the EDTA 17% followed by the chlorhexydine 2% was lower than that in the final irrigation of the EDTA 17%. The bioceramic sealer had lower apical leakage than the resin epoxy sealer.
