ANALISIS KEMUNGKINAN IMPLEMENTASI TIME DRIVEN ACTIVITY BASED COSTING: STUDI PADA NOVOTEL YOGYAKARTA

Meningkatnya pertumbuhan pariwisata di Indonesia menyebabkan semakin tingginya tingkat pertumbuhan hotel di berbagai daerah. Tingginya tingkat persaingan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang pariwisata menyebabkan perusahaan memerlukan strategi agar dapat memenangi persaingan. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik DIY tingkat pertumbuhan hotel berbintang dari tahun 2010 hingga tahun 2016 mengalami kenaikan yang sangat signifikan; pada tahun 2010 terdapat 36 hotel berbintang di Yogyakarta, sedangkan pada tahun 2016 ada 87 hotel. Persaingan industri perhotelan di Yogyakarta semakin kompetitif. Peningkatan pertumbuhan hotel lebih pesat jika dibandingkan dengan jumlah wisatawan. Kinerja Hotel Novotel terkena dampak dari meningkatnya jumlah hotel tersebut sehingga penjualan kamar pada tahun 2017 turun sebesar 6 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Rasio konsumsi aktivitas yang berbeda-beda dan dibutuhkannya informasi biaya yang akurat membutuhkan perhitungan biaya yang akurat, seperti dengan TDABC. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil dari perhitungan biaya per tipe kamar dengan menggunakan metode TDABC, Tradisional, dan biaya yang telah ditentukan oleh manajemen.

The rapid growth of tourism in Indonesia has triggered the high rate of hotel growth in various regions. The high competition level among companies in the tourism business forces them to devise a strategy to win the competition. According to the data from Badan Pusat Statistik of Yogyakarta Special Region, the growth rate of starred-hotels from 2010 to 2016 showed a very significant increase. In 2010, there were 36 starred-hotels, while in 2016, there were 87 hotels. The more and more competitive hotel industry competition in Yogyakarta, in which the growth of hotel numbers is higher than the growth of tourists visiting the city. Novotel hotel�¢ï¿½ï¿½s performance is affected by the growing number of hotels, in which room sales in 2017 dropped 6 percent from the previous year. The differing ratio of consumption, and the need for an accurate cost information, demands an accurate cost calculation, that is by relying more on time driven activity based costing (TDABC). The research results show that there are differences between the cost-per-room calculation results using TDABC method, using traditional method, and the costs determined by the management.
