PENGARUH UMUR TANAMAN DAN LAMA PENYIMPANAN TERHADAP RENDEMEN DAN KUALITAS MINYAK EKALIPTUS (E. urophylla S.T. Blake)

Penelitian tentang Pengaruh Umur dan Lama Penyimpanan terhadap Rendemen dan Kualitas Minyak Ekaliptus bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur dan lama penyimpanan terhadap rendemen dan kualitas minyak Ekaliptus yang dihasilkan, serta mendapatkan informasi umur tanaman dan lama waktu penyimpanan optimal untuk memperoleh rendemen dan kualitas minyak ekaliptus yang memadai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hasil Hutan Non Kayu Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Bahan baku berupa daun Ekaliptus (E. urophylla S.T. Blake) berasal dari petak 17 Hutan Pendidikan Wanagama I, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penyulingan daun dilakukan pada tanaman umur 16 tahun dan 25 tahun dengan perlakuan penyimpanan 1 hari, 3 hari dan 5 hari. Metode penyulingan dengan pengukusan dengan kapasitas tangki 5 kg. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap atau CRD (Completely Randomized Design) yang diatur secara faktorial. Faktor umur terdiri atas dua tingkat dan faktor lama penyimpanan terdiri atas tiga tingkat dengan jumlah ulangan tiga kali untuk masing-masing tingkat. Data yang diperoleh diuji dengan analisis varians dan uji lanjut dengan metode Tukey HSD (Honestly Significant Difference). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rendemen dari tanaman Ekaliptus umur 16 tahun dengan penyimpanan 1 , 3 dan 5 hari berkisar antara 0,21 % - 0,29 % ; Bobot Jenis : 0,83 - 0,88 ; Putaran Optik : -1,65 - -3,25 ; Indeks Bias : 1,47 ; Kelarutan dalam Alkohol 80 % : 1:9 - 1:15 ; Kadar Sineol (Ekalpitol) : 32,00 % - 44,00 %. Rendemen pada tanaman umur 25 tahun dengan penyimpanan 1 , 3 dan 5 hari berkisar antara 0,39 - 0,67 % ; Bobot Jenis : 0,84 - 0,93 ; Putaran Optik : - 2,55 - -3,86 ; Indeks Bias : 1,46 ; Kelarutan dalam Alkohol 80 % : 1 : 1 ; Kadar Sineol (Ekalpitol) : 44,00 % - 68,00 %. Faktor umur tanaman berpengaruh nyata terhadap rendemen, Bobot Jenis, Indeks Bias, Kalarutan dalam Alkohol 80 % dan Kadar Sineol (Ekalpitol). Lama penyimpanan dan interaksi tidak perpengaruh nyata. Pada umur 25 tahun dengan perlakuan penyimpanan sampai 5 hari memberikan hasil optimal. Masih perlu diteliti rendemen dan kualitas minyak Ekaliptus antara umur 16 tahun dan 25 tahun.

The research is about the Influence of the Age and save time treatment on rendemen and the Quality of Eucalypt Oil aimed at knowing the influence of the age and save time the storage against rendemen and the quality of Eucalyptus oil that was produced, as well as found the informations of the age of the crop and save time treatment to receive rendemen and the quality of Eucalypt Oil that was adequate. This research was carried out in the Non Woods Forest Product Laboratory Faculty of Forest Gadjah Mada University. The raw material took the form of the Ekasliptus leaves (E. urophylla S.T. Blake) came from the piece 17 Study forests of Wanagama I, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul D.I.Yogyakarta. The refining of the leaves was carried out to the age crop 16 years and 25 years with the treatment of the storage 1 day, 3 days and 5 days. The refining method with Water and steam destillation with the tanker capacity 5 kg. This research used CRD (Completely Randomized Design) that was arranged in a faktorial manner. The age factor consisted of two levels and the long factor the storage consisted of three levels with the number of tests of three times for each one the level. The files that was received was tested with the analysis varians and the continued test with the Tukey HSD method (Honestly Significant Difference). Results of the research showed that rendemen from the Eucalyptus crop the age 16 years with the storage 1, 3 and 5 days revolved between 0.21 % - 0.29 %; BJ: 0.83 - 0.88; PO: -1.65 - -3.25; IB: 1.47; the Solubility in Alcohol 80 %: 1:9 - 01:15; Level Of Cineol (Eucalyptol).: 32.00 % - 44.00 %. Rendemen to the age crop 25 years with the storage 1, 3 and 5 days revolved between 0.39 - 0.67 %; BJ: 0.84 - 0.93; PO: -2.55 - -3.86; IB 1.46; the Solubility in Alcohol 80 %: 1: 1; The Level Of Cineol (Eucalyptol).: 44.00 % - 68.00 %. The age factor of the influential crop real against rendemen, BJ, IB, Solubility in Alcohol 80 % and The Level Of Cineol (Eucalyptol). For a long time the storage and the interaction not have real effects. In the age 25 years with the treatment of the storage 5 day gave optimal results. Must be researched rendemen and the quality of Eucalypt oil between the age 16 years and 25 years.
