PENGARUH PROGRAM BANTUAN OPERASIONAL SEKOLAH (BOS) TERHADAP PELUANG PUTUS SEKOLAH: ANALISIS DID

Permasalahan pada pendidikan merupakan salah satu penghambat meningkatnya kesejahteraan nasional dan pengentasan kemiskinan. Pemerintah Indonesia menetapkan program Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut akibat adanya pemotongan subsidi BBM pada 2005. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh program BOS terhadap peluang putus sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Difference-in-Differences (DiD). Penelitian ini menggunakan data pooled cross section dan diambil dari Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS), yaitu IFLS2, IFLS3, dan IFLS4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program BOS berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peluang putus sekolah.

Problems in education is one of the obstacles in increasing the national welfare and poverty alleviation. The Government of Indonesia establish the school operational assistance program (BOS) to resolve the problem due to the cutting of fuel subsidy in 2005. This study aims to analyze the impact of the BOS on dropout chance. The method that used in this study is Difference-in-Differences (DiD). This study used pooled cross section data and the data were taken from Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS), i.e. IFLS2, IFLS3, and IFLS4. The empirical results showed that BOS had a significant impact on dropout chance.
