EVALUASI JARINGAN JALAN ANGKUTAN PADA HUTAN TANAMAN INDUSTRI DI DISTRIK I PT WIRAKARYA SAKTI, PROVINSI JAMBI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas dan kualitas PWH yang berhubungan dengan jaringan jalan angkutan dan untuk mengetahui tingkat kebutuhan jalan pada lahan kering HTI PT WIRAKARYA SAKTI Distrik I di Provinsi Jambi untuk tujuan jangka panjang maupun eksploitasi. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah mengumpulkan data primer melalui pengamatan dan pengukuran langsung di lapangan serta data sekunder berdasarkan data-data di kantor HTI PT WIRAKARYA SAKTI Distrik I. Intensitas dan kualitas PWH digambarkan oleh kerapatan jalan (RD), spasi jalan (RS), jarak sarad rata-rata (MSD), dan persen pembukaan wilayah (E%). Tingkat kebutuhan jalan digambarkan oleh perbandingan RD dan RS dengan kerapatan jalan optimal (ORD) dan spasi jalan optimal (ORS) yang memperhatikan potensi hutan, biaya pembuatan dan pemeliharaan jalan, biaya penyaradan, dan faktor koreksi lapangan. Hasil perhitungan parameter-parameter penilai PWH untuk jangka panjang diperoleh RD = 30,90 m/ha; RS = 323,65 m; jarak sarad rata-rata teoritis (MSDt) = 80,91 m, jarak sarad rata-rata terpendek (MSDp) = 128,33 m; serta nilai E% = 62,89% dengan ORD = 12,08 m/ha dan ORS = 827,82 m. Pada PWH untuk tujuan eksploitasi mempunyai RD = 45,28 m/ha; RS = 220,83 m; jarak sarad ratarata teoritis (MSDt) = 55,21 m, jarak sarad rata-rata terpendek (MSDp) = 78,40 m; jarak sarad rata-rata lapangan (MSDr) = 88,96 m; serta nilai E% = 70,42% dengan ORD = 34,83 m/ha dan ORS = 287,11 m. Secara umum intensitas PWH untuk tujuan jangka panjang dan tujuan eksploitasi sudah intensif, namun tata letak jalan masih belum tepat dan tersebar merata.

This research aimed to find out the intensity and quality of opening of forest area associated with transportation road networks and to find out the level of road needs in dry land HTI PT WIRAKARYA SAKTI District I in the Jambi Province both for long-term purposes and exploitation purposes. The research methods applied in this study included primary data collection through direct field observation and measurement on the field and secondary data collection based on the data in the HTI PT WIRAKARYA SAKTI District I office. Intensity and quality of forest area opening were described by road density (RD), road spacing (RS), mean skidding distance (MSD), and percentage of forest area opening (E%). The level of road needs was described by the comparison between RD and RS with optimum road density (ORD) and optimum road spacing (ORS) which took into consideration standing stock, road construction and road maintenance cost, skidding cost, and the field correction factor. The calculation results of evaluator parameters of forest area opening for long-term purpose were as follows; RD = 30,90 m/ha; RS = 323,65 m; theoretical mean skidding distance (MSDt) = 80,91 m, shortest mean skidding distance (MSDp) = 128,33 m; and E% = 62,89% with ORD = 12,08 m/ha and ORS = 827,82 m. Furthermore, for exploitation purpose the results were as follows; RD = 45,28 m/ha; RS = 220,83 m; MSDt = 55,21 m, MSDp = 78,40 m; real mean skidding distance (MSDr) = 88,96 m; and E% = 70,42% with ORD = 34,83 m/ha and ORS = 287,11 m. Overall, the intensity of forest area opening for long-term purposes and exploitation purposes were intensive, but the road layout is not that good and spread evenly.
