Persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan hutan rakyat bersertifikat lestari, dalam hal ini sertifikasi Pengelolaan Hutan Berbasis Masyarakat Lestari (PHBML) mempengaruhi pola pikir dan perilaku masyarakat mengenai pengelolaan hutan dan sertifikasi PHBML. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan hutan rakyat bersertifikat PHBML dan mengetahui pengaruh sertifikasi PHBML terhadap pengelolaan hutan rakyat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan alat bantu interview guide dan dokumentasi. Data yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini berupa data primer yang berupa pengetahuan tentang persepsi masyarakat dan pengaruh sertifikasi PHBML terhadap pengelolaan hutan rakyat, serta data sekunder yang berupa data monografi desa. Data dan informasi dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif, yaitu menggambarkan secara mendetail dan faktual tentang persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan hutan rakyat bersertifikasi PHBML. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa persepsi masyarakat muncul secara berbeda-beda baik di kalangan pemerintah daerah, pengurus kelompok tani, maupun anggota kelompok tani. Pemerintah daerah menganggap pengelolaan hutan rakyat bersertifikasi PHBML adalah suatu pengelolaan hutan yang jika dikelola dengan baik akan memiliki nilai jual kayu tinggi karena telah diakui legalitasnya. Pengurus kelompok tani menganggap pengelolaan hutan rakyat bersertifikasi PHBML adalah pengelolaan hutan untuk menghasilkan nilai jual kayu tinggi dan menjaga kelestarian hutan. Anggota kelompok tani tidak mengatahui apa itu pengelolaan hutan rakyat bersertifikasi PHBML. Sertifikasi PHBML mempengaruhi pengelolaan hutan rakyat, yaitu sebagai motivator bagi masyarakat untuk mengelola hutan, sehingga meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Public perception of certified sustainable community forest management, in this certification Sustainable Community Based Forest Management (PHBML) influence thought patterns and behaviors regarding community forest management and certification PHBML. The purpose of this study was to determine the public perception of forest management certified people PHBML and know the effect on the certification PHBML in the management of community forests. This research uses case study method. Data collection using observation, in-depth interview with the tools interview guidelines and documentation. Data required in this study form the primary data in the form of knowledge about public perception and influence on the certification PHBML, as well as secondary data in the form of village monograph data. Data and information were analyzed using descriptive analysis method, which is described in detail and factual about the public perception of forest management certified people PHBML. Based on research result shows that the public perception appears differently both among local government, the board of farmer groups, and members of farmer groups. Local governments assume the management of community forests are certified PHBML a forest management if well managed will have a high sale value of timber because it has been recognized legality. The board of farmer groups assume the management of community forests are certified PHBML forest management to produce high-value timber sales and forest preserve. Member of farmer group does not know the what is a certified community forest management PHBML. Certification PHBML influence management of public forests, that is as motivator to society to manage forest, so that improve prosperity of society
