Teknologi pengecoran saat ini sudah sangat umum digunakan dalam pembuatan suatu produk, yang mana penggunaan teknologi pengecoran diharapkan dapat membuat produk dalam bentuk rumit yang tidak dapat dibuat oleh suatu mesin. Kegagalan pada hasil coran dapat diminimalisir dengan menggunakan cara penyimulasian menggunakan software. Tugas akhir ini berfokus pada analisa aliran pengecoran. Metode yang digunakan pada tugas akhir ini dengan menggunakan software pengecoran. Software tersebut dapat mensimulasikan secara virtual aliran yang terjadi pada saat proses pengecoran. Software pengecoran dapat digunakan untuk menganalisa berbagai macam proses thermal, fluid, solid, cacat hasil pengecoran dan lain-lain. Dengan berbagai macam saluran dapat terlihat bagaimana hasil yang terjadi. Hasil tersebut dipengaruhi oleh velocity pada saat penuangan proses pengcoran. Cacat yang terjadi pada pensimulasian dapat terlihat shinnkage porosity, serta pada keadaan nyata juga terjadi penyusutan dan flashing.

Nowadays, Casting technology commonly used in the manufacture of a product, in which the use of casting technology is expected to make products in a complicated form that cannot be made by a machine. Failure on castings can be minimized by using a simulation method using a software. This final project focuses on casting flow analysis. The method used in this final project uses casting software. The software can simulate virtually the flow that occurs during the casting process. casting software can be used to analyze various types of thermal, fluid, solid, casting defects and others. With a variety of channels can be seen how the results occur. These results are influenced by the velocity during pouring of the casting process. The defects that occur in simulating can be seen shinnkage porosity, as well as in real circumstances there is also shrinkage and flashing.
