ANALISIS PENGARUH LEVERAGE DAN UKURAN PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP KINERJA KEUANGAN PERUSAHAAN ASURANSI UMUM DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2012-2016

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan dan pengaruh rasio keuangan dan PDB per kapita terhadap kinerja keuangan 10 (sepuluh) perusahaan go public dalam industri asuransi di Indonesia yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada tahun 2012-2016. Model yang digunakan adalah model efek tetap (Fixed Effects Model) dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa leverage memiliki hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan memengaruhi Return on Assets (ROA); tangibility memiliki hubungan negatif namun tidak signifikan memengaruhi ROA; PDB per kapita memiliki hubungan negatif namun tidak signifikan memengaruhi ROA; ukuran perusahaan memiliki hubungan negatif dan signifikan memengaruhi ROA.

This research aims to analyze the relationship and influence of financial ratio and GDP per capita towards the financial performance of 10 go-public companies among the insurance industry that are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the year of 2012-2016. The model used in this research is the fixed effects model with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The result of the research shows that leverage has negative correlation and significant influence on Return on Assets (ROA); tangibility has negative correlation but does not significantly influence ROA; GDP per capita has negative correlation but does not significantly influence ROA; the size of the company has negative correlation and significant influence on ROA.
