HOMESCHOOLING : SEKOLAH YANG FLEKSIBEL (Studi Kasus : Primagama Homeschooling Yogyakarta)

Banyak model pendidikan ditawarkan di Indonesia, mulai dari formal, non formal dan informal. Setiap anak bebas menentukan pilihan model pendidikan sesuai dengan kemauan dan kemampuan si anak didik.Pilihan pendidikan anak di Indonesia mayoritas adalah sekolah formal, namun kini dirasa sekolah formal hanya menekan anak untuk mendapat nilai bagus tapi mengesampingkan kebutuhan anak didik. Berangkat dari kegelisahan yang dirasakan diatas, penulis tergerak untuk melakukan penelitian terkait murid homeschooling di kota Yogyakarta. Homeschooling merupakan pendidikan alternatif yang menawarkan konsep yang berbeda dan lebih fleksibel dari sekolah formal dan peminatnya semakin banyak. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, menjelaskan secara umum konsep homeschooling yang mengisi ruang kosong di sekolah formal serta alasan anak memilih model pendidikan homeschooling di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Homeschooling memiliki metode yang berbeda dan menawarkan proses belajar yang fleksibel bagi para murid tentu pengalaman yang dirasakan murid homeschooling berbeda dengan murid sekolah formal dan akan menciptakan anak yang berbeda dalam sikap dan pergaulan. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Oktober 2016 hingga Februari 2017 dan dilanjutkan pada Juli 2018. Informan adalah murid Primagama Homeschooling. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apa saja fleksibelitas yang ditawarkan oleh Primagama Homescooling. Serta alasan dan pengalaman anak yang berpindah dari sekolah formal ke homeschooling.

Many models education are offered in Indonesia, from formal, non-formal and informal. Every child is free to determine the choice of education model in accordance with the student willingness and ability. The choice of child education in Indonesia is mostly formal schools, but now formal schools feel that they only pressure children to get good grades but override the needs of students. Departing from the anxiety felt above, the author was moved to research homeschooling students in the city of Yogyakarta. Homeschooling is an alternative education that offers a different and more flexible concept from formal schools and more and more enthusiasts. This research is qualitative, explaining in general the concept of homeschooling that fill empty spaces in formal schools as well as the reasons for children to choose homeschooling education model at the senior high school level. Homeschooling has a different method and offers a flexible learning process for students, of course the experience felt by homeschooling students is different from formal school students and will create different children in attitudes and relationships. This research was conducted from October 2016 to February 2017 and continued in July 2018. Informants were students of Homeschooling Primagama. This research is to find out what flexibility Primagama Homescooling offers. As well as the reasons and experiences of children who move from formal schools to homeschooling.
