Kelembaban media penetasan telur penyu merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap daya tetas telur penyu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kelembaban sarang terhadap daya tetas telur penyu lekang. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari tanggal 2 Januari 2018 sampai dengan 6 Maret 2018. Media penetasan adalah beberapa ember plastik yang diisi pasir dan disiram air sehingga memiliki tingkat kelembaban 0-25%, 25-50%, 50-75%, dan 75-100%. Telur penyu dikumpulkan dari sarang peneluran induk penyu di kawasan pantai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Telur tersebut selanjutnya ditetaskan dalam media penetasan. Media penetasan pada kelembaban 0%-25% memiliki persentase penetasan sebesar 72,5%, tingkat kelembaban 25%-50% memiliki persentase penetasan sebesar 95%, tingkat kelembaban 50%-75% memiliki persentase penetasan sebesar 80% dan tingkat kelembaban 75%-100% memiliki persentase penetasan sebesar 65%. Persentase penetasan tertinggi terjadi pada tingkat kelembaban 25% - 50% dengan persentase pentasan 95%. Kondisi tukik yang menetas pada sarang dengan tingkat kelembaban 25%-50% relatif sehat, baik, bersih dan tidak ada tukik yang mati setelah menetas.

Humidity of media for hatching of turtle egg is one of the important factors that greatly affected the hatchability of turtle eggs. This study aims to determine the effect of nest humidity on the successful of turtle eggs hatching. The study was conducted from January 2, 2018 to March 6, 2018. The hatching media were several plastic buckets filled with sand and water so that they had a 0-25%, 25-50%, 50-75%, and 75-100% humidity level. Turtle eggs were collected from nesting nest of turtles in the coastal area of Padang Pariaman regency. The eggs were transfered to hatching media. Hatching at humidity level 0% -25% has a hatching percentage of 72.5%, at humidity level of 25% -50% has a hatching percentage of 95%, at humidity level of 50% -75% has a hatching percentage of 80% and at humidity level of 75% -100% has a hatching percentage of 65%.. The highest percentage of hatching was 25% -50% with a hatching percentage of 95%. In addition to the hatchling conditions were relatively healthy, good, clean and no hatchlings die after hatching.
