THE ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AS A MEANS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION AT IMMIGRATION OFFICE CLASS 1 YOGYAKARTA

2018 | Tugas Akhir | D3 BAHASA INGGRISTugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang profil Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta dan peran media sosial yang digunakan di Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta. Di dalamnya, membahas tentang peran akun media sosial dan proses penyebaran informasi kepada masyarakat di Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta. Studi kasus ini menggunakan beberapa metode pengumpulan data. Metode pengumpulan data tersebut adalah studi lapangan, observasi dan wawancara staff Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta. Studi lapangan yang dilakukan dalam menggumpulkan data dilakukan melaui program magang selama periode April sampai Juni 2018 di Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta, yaitu dengan melakukan observasi, penempatan di bagian yang sesuai dengan judul topik dan melakukan survei dengan memberikan kuisioner kepada masyarakat untuk mengetahui pengetahuan mereka mengenai keberadaan akun media sosial Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta dan informasi yang diberikan oleh Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta melaui akun media sosial mereka. Tugas akhir ini juga menggunakan metode studi pustaka dari sumber-sumber terkait seperti buku elektonik Social Media for Government Services oleh Surya Nepal dan Cécile Paris, serta jurnal dan sumber internet lainnya yang sesuai dengan isi topik.. Semua data diklasifikasikan berdasarkan tujuan penelitian dan disajikan dalam bentuk gambar dan grafik untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian. Menurut hasil metode olah data dan metode penyajian data dijelaskan bahwa Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta memiliki 5 divisi yang menyediakan fasilitas untuk memdukung layanan kepada publik. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang mendapatkan 100 tangapan menjelaskan bahwa 61% masyarakat sudah mengetahui bahwa Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta memiliki akun media sosial. Peran akun media sosial yang dikelola oleh divisi informasi dan komunikasi Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta yaitu untuk mengunggah informasi dan kebutuhan keimigrasian seperti pembuatan paspor, perpanjangan paspor, persyaratan pembuatan paspor dan informasi keimigrasian lainnya kepada masyarakat serta sebagai sarana kritik dan saran masyarakat kepada Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Yogyakarta.
This graduating paper aims to explain the profile of Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta and the role of social media used in the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta. It discusses the role of social media accounts and the process of disseminating information to the public at the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta. This case study uses several data collection methods. Data collection methods are field studies, observation and interview staff of Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta. Field studies carried out in collecting data were conducted through an internship program during April until June 2018 at the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta, which is by doing observation, placement in the field according to the topic title and conducting a survey by giving questionnaires to the public to find out their knowledge about the existence of social media accounts of Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta and information provided by the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta through their social media accounts. This graduating paper also uses literature study methods from related sources such as e-book Social Media for Government Services by Surya Nepal and Cécile Paris, journals and other internet sources that are in accordance with the topic content. All the data were classified based on the objectives of the study and presenting the data in the form of pictures and chart to answer the objectives of the study. According to the results of the data processing method and data presentation method, it is explained that Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta has 5 divisions that provide facilities to support services to the public. Based on to the results of the questionnaires which gets 100 responses explained 61% of the public already knew that the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta had a social media account. The role of social media accounts managed by the information and communication division of the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta is to upload immigration information and needs such as passport making, passport extension, passport-making requirements and other immigration information to the community as well as a means of public criticism and advice to the Immigration Office Class 1 Yogyakarta.
