HUBUNGAN MOTIVASI DAN JENJANG KARIR PERAWAT DENGAN KEAKURATAN DOKUMENTASI KEPERAWATAN DI RUANG MELATI INSTALASI KESEHATAN ANAK RSUP DR. SARDJITO

Latar Belakang: Dokumentasi yang akurat menjadi salah satu standar profesional praktik keperawatan untuk memberikan praktik yang aman dan efektif. Dokumentasi keperawatan yang tidak akurat dapat menjadi penyebab salah tafsir atau salah interpretasi, dan dapat menyebabkan situasi pasien yang tidak aman. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam penulisan dokumentasi keperawatan, seperti motivasi dan kompetensi. Motivasi yang baik dibutuhkan oleh perawat untuk menyadari pentingnya pendokumentasian. Upaya rumah sakit untuk meningkatkan kompetensi perawat adalah dengan sistem jenjang karir. Penjenjangan karir tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme perawat. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan motivasi dan jenjang karir perawat dengan keakuratan dokumentasi keperawatan di ruang Melati INSKA RSUP Dr. Sardjito. Metode: Jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 35 perawat dan 70 dokumentasi keperawatan yang diambil secara consecutive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen D-Catch untuk mengobservasi keakuratan dokumentasi keperawatan dan kuesioner motivasi perawat. Analisis data menggunakan uji somers’d. Penelitian ini dilakukan di ruang Melati INSKA RSUP Dr. Sardjito. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi perawat dalam kategori baik sebesar 51,4%. Lebih dari setengah responden (57,1%) menempati jenjang karir PK I. Dokumentasi dalam kategori akurat sebesar 60%. Hasil uji korelasi variabel motivasi perawat dengan keakuratan dokumentasi didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,890 (p > 0,05). Hasil uji korelasi variabel jenjang karir perawat dengan keakuratan dokumentasi didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,891 (p > 0,05). Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan motivasi perawat dengan keakuratan dokumentasi. Tidak ada hubungan jenjang karir perawat dengan keakuratan dokumentasi.

Background: Accurate documentation is a professional nursing practice standard that important to provide a safe and effective practice. Inaccurate nursing documentation may be a cause of misunderstanding and misinterpretation, and it may result to unsafe patient’s situation. There are many factors that contribute to the documentation registry, such as: motivation and nursing competence. Good motivation is needed by nurses to realize the importance of documentation. The effort of the hospital to improve the nurse’s competence is through the career path system. The career path aims to improve the professionalism of nurses. Objective: To find out the correlation of nurse’s motivation and career path to the nursing documentation accuracy in Room Melati of INSKA of Dr. Sardjito Hospital. Methods: This was a correlative descriptive research with cross sectional design. There were 35 nurses and 70 medical records used as the sample that were taken by consecutive sampling technique. The data collection tools were D-Catch instrument to observe nurse’s documentation accuracy and nurse’s work motivation questionnaires. The data analysis used somers’d test. This research was conducted in Room Melati of INSKA of Dr. Sardjito Hospital. Results: The result of the research showed that the motivation of nurses in Room Melati was in good category at 51,4%. More than half of the respondents (57,1%) were in novice career path. The documentation accuracy in accurate category was 60%. The result of variables correlation of nurse’s motivation with documentation accuracy showed significance value of 0,890 (p > 0,05). The result of this variable correlation of nurse’s career path with the documentation accuracy showed significance value of 0,891 (p > 0,05). Conclusion: There is no correlation between the nurse’s motivation to the documentation accuracy. There is no correlation between the nurse’s career path to the documentation accuracy.
