INTISARI Kerusakan pada kendaraan sering sekali tidak terduga, kurangnya perawatan pada sebuah kendaraan menjadi faktor utama kerusakan. Kendaraan yang kurang perawatan menyebabkan berbagai masalah terutama pada bagian mesinnya, maka perlu adanya rekondisi pada mesin mobil. Pada studi ini mempelajari overhaul Toyota Kijang 5K yang mengalami masalah pada mesin. Untuk mempelajari proses rekondisi dilakukan empat tahapan yaitu proses identifikasi kerusakan, persiapan alat, proses overhaul dan pengujian. Proses overhaul meliputi pembongkaran, pemeriksaan, pengukuran, perbaikan, pergantian, perakitan dan penyetelan. Berdasarkan hasil dari proses rekondisi dan pengujian, didapatkan kompenen yang harus diganti diantara lain gasket full set, piston set, dan pompa bensin elektrik. Komponen yang harus diperbaiki blok silinder dan lubang water jacket pada kepala silinder yang keropos. Hasil pengujian tekanan kompresi Kijang 5K sudah sesuai dengan standar, mesin mudah dihidupkan, dan mesin tidak mengeluarkan asap keputih abu abuan.

ABSTRACT Damage to the vehicle is often completely unexpected, lack of maintenance on a vehicle becomes a major factor damage. Vehicle care less cause various problems, especially on the engine, it is necessary to recondition a car engine. In this studyoverhaul Toyota 5K run into problems on the machine. To study the reconditioning process is four stages, namely the process of identifying the damage, preparation tools, prosesoverhaul and testing. Overhaul process includes disassembly, inspection, measurement, repair, replacement, assembly and adjustment. Based on the results of reconditioning and testing process, which must be replaced components obtained among other things a full gasket set, piston sets, electric and gas stations. Components that should be fixed cylinder block and a hole in the cylinder head water jacket is porous.
