Tujuan penulis dalam tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui peran dan tanggung jawab Account Payable pada Accounting Department di The Rich Jogja Hotel. Jenis penelitian dalam tugas akhir ini yaitu deskripsi kualitatif, sedangkan metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Dengan adanya penelitian maka penulis mengetahui bahwa Account Payable merupakan salah satu bagian yang penting karena bertugas mencatat semua hutang- hutang pihak hotel kepada supplier yang berkaitan dan akan mengurus semua proses pembayaran serta melakukan pelunasan atau pembayaran sebagian kepada supplier apabila hutang tersebut sudah memasuki jatuh tempo. Setelah mengetaahui kendala yang muncul dalam Account Payable maka dapat ditemukan solusi yang tepat dan efektif untuk kelancaran proses kerja pada Accounting Department di The Rich Jogja hotel khususnya divisi Account Payable.

The author's goal in this final project is to know the role and responsibility of Account Payable in Accounting Department at The Rich Jogja Hotel. The type of research in this final project is qualitative description, while data collection method is done by observation, interview, and literature study. With the research, the writer knows that Account Payable is one important part because it is responsible to record all the debts of the hotel to the related suppliers and will take care of all payment process and make payment or part payment to the supplier if the debt has entered maturity. After knowing the obstacles that appear in Account Payable then can find the right solution and effective for smooth working process at Accounting Department at The Rich Jogja hotel especially division of Account Payable.
